Chapter 4- Awkward Moments

Both of us stand there not saying anything. It is too much for me to take in, He isn't meant to be back for another week yet so why is he here? And more importantly why is he in this coffee shop at the same time as me?

I carry on staring at him feeling the moisture in my eyes. His mouth keeps opening and closing wanting to say something but nothing actually coming out.

My attention is diverted when I hear the squeals of my friends from the far corner. Oh shit, I forgot about them.

"I...." I begin but unaware of what to say exactly. His gaze follows mine and sees what I am staring at.

He nods at me and moves out the way for me to walk past. I slowly walk past him only stopping when he calls my name out.

"I... er I'm sorry." I couldn't help but feel the double meaning behind his words.

"For?"

"Erm... Because I... For spilling you... I mean the coffee. Sorry for the coffee. Here I'll pay." He goes into his pocket to take money out.

"It's fine. Don't worry about it."

"No, please let me."

"Justin...." It felt weird saying his name. It's like it rolled off my tongue "Don't."

He gave me a small smile before I turn around and start walking away, only to be stopped by his voice once again.

"And... I'm sorry Amber."

"You've already said that."

"No... For-" His apology is interrupted by the squeals of girls running up to him; some crying, some jumping, some hugging their friends while screaming "I can't believe it's him! I knew he came in here!"

Glancing his way I see how happy he is with his fans; hugging them, signing things for them and taking pictures. Just as I am about to look away I meet his eyes for a split second and I recognise the look in his eyes. Guilt.

o.O.o.o.O.o

"Hey mom I'm home." I throw my keys onto the table before slumping down.

"Hey honey how was coffee?"

"It was good."

After I walked away from Justin I joined everyone totally forgetting about the coffee. I tried to pay attention to what they were all saying but I just couldn't. My mind was too busy on him.

"Honey I have something to tell you." I know whatever she has to say won't really grab my attention right now.

"Hmm?"

"Well I don't think you know but Justin and Pattie are back from Justin's tour..."

My head snaps up when my mom says his name. Deciding to play dumb I go along with her.

"Really? I didn't know." I put my head down, my hair covering my face.

"Well, I just thought I'd let you know. And that they are coming for dinner tomorrow."

For the second time in one minute my head snaps up at my mother; my face probably resembling a copy of horror. "What?! Why?"

"Amber, what do you mean why? This is the least I could do. Pattie is there reason we are even here. And I thought you would be happy... This way you can catch up with... Justin." Her voice fades into something of a whisper.

"I know, and I'm thankful to her but mom I can't. I can't face him, not after what he done. He left and forgot about me; his best friend. How can I just pretend everything is normal when it's not?"

"Amber honey, you will have to face him sooner or later."

"Well I choose later."

"Well you don't have a choice then. It's just dinner. What is the worst that can happen?"

A lot. That is the answer. Knowing I don't have a choice but to stay for dinner, I slump my shoulders and start counting the hours till the worst few hours to come.

A/N: SORRY! I know it has been another month since the last update but I have been so busy!

But HEY GUYS! I hope you enjoyed this very short chapter :/. I am really sorry, but technically it's been two weeks since the last update as I wasn't on wattpad for two weeks :).

On the plus side, I will be updating this story a lot more as my first story (Drowning; check it out!)  is about 10/15 chapters away from the end and I want this story to be on its way when it does finish... So I promise for often updates.
