Chapter 6- Chocolate Chip Pancakes
"I don't mind if my girl if my girl is big or small. If she is skinny I would be able to pick her up. If she's big I would just have Kenny to pick her up."~ Justin Bieber
I bounce up his massive front 'garden'- more like front field. I ring the doorbell and await a response. I am not surprised at all when I see Pattie opening the door. She smiles widely before welcoming me in. I gasp at how large and spacious their new home is not forgetting how modern it is. I thought my new house was fairly large, but this? This is just something else. Outside it looks huge and open but inside is another story. You can't really see much due to the mental gates and security outside- which by the way I am not surprised to see; this is Justin Bieber's house. A lot of the area around here is deserted and blocked off. Only people who know Justin are allowed through.
I look around and take in the marble floor, the paintings and the bare white walls. I stop staring once a familiar scent hits me. "You like?"
"Like? It's beautiful Justin. It's just so open it makes me feel free."
He chuckles next to me. "You sound so spiritual." I turn to look at him before playfully slapping him with the back of my hand against his stomach.
"Shut up."
"Come on let's go and eat."
I follow his lead to what I presume is the kitchen- and I am right. The kitchen is double the size of a restaurant one. Maybe even bigger! All the cabinets, sink, cookers and worktops and such are on the left hand-side of the room, and the only thing on the right-hand side is high-chairs which are tucked under a table- it just looks like a wide wooden shelf on a wall; very expensive light-coloured wood that it. And to finish it off right in the centre in the bang middle is an island. It holds nothing but a fruit bowl and someone's keys. It has eight seats around it- two on each side. Justin takes a seat at one and I follow sitting opposite him.
"What you making mom?"
"Chocolate chip pancakes" she answers from the stove. She remembers. Me and Justin used to always eat them. It was like our food. I could never eat them alone. Only with him. I look up as I can feel Justin's gaze on me. I stare back at him getting lost in his brown whirlpool. Not being able to take anymore I'm the first to look away. I nervously look around the room. What was that? Pattie places the pancakes on the table. The plate holds two equal piles of pancakes. I look up at Justin to see him looking back at me with a smirk on his face. I smirk back knowing exactly what he is thinking. I raise my brow while leaning forward.
"You. Are On."
"Prepare to lose Amber," he tells me with confidence oozing from his voice.
"I always win Justin. Forgetting that?"
"Well things have changed now." And with that being said we both dove into the pile of pancakes stuffing as many as we can into our mouth. I eat one at a time chewing rapidly while Justin just shoves them all into his mouth almost choking on them. Justin realises I have just one left and tries to chew faster only resulting in him chewing slower as his jaw is getting tired. My jaw starts to pain as well but I hurriedly chew it and swallow my last pancake; making me the winner.
"YES! LOSER JUSTIN! SHAME! I told you!" I get up and jump around in glee.
I see Justin finally swallow his pancakes. "You cheated! I had more pancakes than you!"
