Chapter 51- Celebrations
"Cause everything starts from something."~ Justin Bieber
Justin's POV
I watch as the second hand on the clock continues to tick no matter how hard I wish time would stop. Tomorrow is the day Amber signs the papers and move out of the house and out of my life. I can't find it in myself to go to her room and give her the box that lies on my bed. It's a dress for her to wear to the celebration party for Believe doing so well. I bought it for her two days ago but I am too scared to give it to her. What if she rejects it? It seems like that is my biggest fear when it comes to her. Being rejected.
I sigh to myself as I realise that I am being stupid. I mean she agreed to go so if she doesn't wear the dress then I guess that it doesn't really matter. As long as she is there. I jump off my bed and pick up the box. I leave my room and walk across the hallway to hers. I knock on the door a few times waiting for her to let me in. It doesn't take long before she opens the door herself. When she sees me she looks down before letting me in. She walks over to her desk as she finishes placing things into boxes.
I look around the room and all of a sudden it feels cold. With all her belongings gone it looks just like another room in this massive house. I remember the first time she came into the house, how amazed she was by it all. I never loved the house as much as I did until she moved in. Even if at first it was only for three months. She made this place feel more like home and now with her gone I am just a teenage pop star who lives in a massive house by himself.
"This room looks really different without your stuff. Do you have to-?"
She cuts me off. "-Please Justin. We've been through this many times before. I am going. Our agreement was that I can leave after this party." I see her fidgeting with her finger. Only then do I notice the missing ring.
"You erm... Did you put your ring away or something?" I look at her face as I see a sad smile on her face.
"No. I returned it to the owner."
I raise my eyebrows in shock. "You guys have officially ended? Are you okay?"
"I am fine. It's a bit hard letting him go but I need it."
I look down at the carpet. "You sure?"
She sighs. "Justin don't act like you are upset about it all. This is what you wanted isn't it? Me to be rid of him? Exactly. Can we just drop it now?"
I take a deep breath. "Yeah, I wanted him gone but I didn't, and still don't, want you to be upset Amber. I never want you to be upset."
She rolls her eyes. "Okay. Fine. I don't want to argue. Is there something that you wanted?"
I suddenly remember why I was here. I slowly place the box down on her bed and gesture for her to open it. She raises her brow before slowly walking over to it. She lifts the lip and I see her eyes roam over the dress. "Pick it up."
She does as I ask and lifts the dress from the top. It drops to the floor. "You didn't have to buy me a dress. I am pretty sure I have something..." Her voice fades and I smile knowing that she likes it.
"I know but I thought you’d like this. Please wear it tonight."
"I don't know... It's really bright. Everyone will be able to spot me from a mile away."
