Time lapse~ 4 weeks
POV: Tris
Today is the ending of Initiation. I'm feeling happy, and proud of how far they've all come. However, I do feel a sort of sadness since its all over. It was so enjoyable to teach with Tobias, and they all did so well.
I scan board displayed on the wall.
Current Passing Initiates:
1.Steve
2.Nikki
3.Darcy
4.Josh
5.Julia
I'm happy with all of the initiates who made the top 5.
I was wrong about Josh though.
He did make it. He pulled through even after all the pain and sorrow he had to suffer. Josh has gotten over his past events, no matter how tough it was.
I guess eventually we all do. It just takes a matter of time and the effort to forgive yourself and those around you.
Brianna got disqualified for punching Nikki in the eye.
I'm happy Brianna is gone. Maybe that seems selfish, but she did flirt with my boyfriend and punch one of my closest friends, Nikki.
Jake got disqualified as well because of what happened with Christina.
To my surprise, I've noticed lately that Dauntless has been changing to how they used to be.
Where people work together, with bravery and courage. There is no betrayal, and we don't have to fight our fellow initiates to prove our strength.
Me and all my friends sit around a bonfire. My right hand is intertwined with Tobias'. At this time, I recognize how special this moment is. Our ears our greeted by the bright fire, making light crackling noises. I feel my skin becoming warm from the radiating heat. Maybe in a couple years things will be different. I'll never have this moment back, so I choose to cherish it.
Large Time Lapse~ 1 year
(No pun intended^^)
POV: Tris
Zeke had a wild Party last night. I remember everyone dancing around, and having a blast.
On the other hand, we all got really drunk last night. I don't remember too much, but I did end up in our apartment.
I barely believe my eyes when I notice that I'm in nothing but my undergarments and a plain white sheet bandaged around my torso, draping down to the carpeted floor.
I denied my persisting thoughts. I didn't exactly have an explanation for this, but I figured nothing probably happened, no matter what my conscious told me.
I throw on a tight black tank top and a loose black jacket. I'm pretty sure I have a bad hangover, so all I feel like wearing is black leggings.
I was told that we get our next group of initiates in 9 months, which I'm thrilled but nervous about.
I decide to talk to Christina. She got rid of Jake's baby and her and Will are doing great.
They're engaged and they're wedding is next month. I'm so happy for her, and very excited for their big step in their relationship.
"Hey Tris!" Christina exclaims with a cheeky smile as she opens the door to her and Will's apartment.
"Hey" I greet her, returning a smile.
"I have something big to tell you," Christina explains, her eyes lighting up.
"Will is the only person who knows so you have to promise not tell anyone yet. I'm going to announce it the next time we are all together," Christina swoons about her upcoming plans.
"I promise," I assure her.
"Alright," she clears her throat "I'm pregnant!"
"Congratulations! That's amazing!" I cheer.
"I'll wait to tell everyone after the wedding," she decides.
"I'm so happy for you!" I grin "What are the names?"
"A girl, Jessica, a boy, Jason," she responds, so excited to be able to talk to someone about this.
I hug Christina and tell her "I'm so happy for you."

I go to the control room to visit Tobias.
Once I arrive, I stroll up till I'm behind him and clasp my hands over his eyes.
"Guess who?" I sing.
"Tris," he teases laughing along with me.
"How's work?" I ask.
"Good" he reaches out to capture my hand.
"Well, I just wanted to stop by," tell him.
"Already?" He pouts sarcastically.
I laugh, and bend down to kiss him.
