Chapter 106: Bittersweet

The plan was set.
Aoyama was imprisoned, but since he was the only way to entice All For One, Aizawa made a plan to use him.
Well it was also because of him and the class's personal wants to let him out, cause if this plan worked, Aoyama would be free.

But Aoyama's family might still be in danger, since All For One had a system that could sense lies just from their voices, so Shinso had to help by using his quirk on them.

By controlling their minds to call and lure All For One to come to U.A., the heroes would have a advantageous situation.

Monoma was also needed.
Since Kurogiri wasn't conscious yet, and even if he was, it wasn't sure that he would help the heroes. So Monoma had to use his quirk to copy Kurogiri's quirk, and bring all the heroes and help to take down All For One.

Midoriya, Bakugo, and the Big 3(plus some pro heroes)were designated to go with Shigaraki.
Shoji and Kota with other pro heroes were sent to fight Spinner and block him from getting to Kurogiri.
Uraraka and Asui with Toga, Todoroki and Endeavor with Dabi.

And Finally, you and Siji had to take care of Reverse, Clarie, and Succubus.

All Might and Aizawa reassured you that you didn't have to, since Reverse had a 'obsession' with me and would take me down more dangerously. But this is war, and you thought it was your responsibility to take her down. It was your goal too, since you started to be a hero for revenge of her.

All of you were sent to a facility before the war started, for more training and everything else.
It was time to say goodbye to all of your parents.

Everyone's parents came, but you received a call instead. Your Mom had gone to visit Siji's place, and couldn't come to you because of the lack of time. Too bad for siblings, the favorite child got to meet.

"Hey mom."
You answered the call.

"Y/n, I'm sorry for not being able to meet you up too, it's going to be a dangerous war..."
Your mother said, as she mumbled something about how it was inefficient that second years and first years had to move from different places.

"It's fine."
You said with a laugh, to make your mother calm a bit.

"You better come back without a scratch so that I won't feel guilty."
She joked, as you scoffed back.
"Mom, don't be ridiculous. It would be a miracle if I even survived."
You joked back, only to receive shouting to take those words back.

"Yeah yeah, I was joking! Of course I'll come back....maybe." You mumbled the last part so that she wouldn't hear. You didn't want to make a promise you weren't sure if you could keep.
"Well you should've came to see me instead of Siji." Pouting, you joked, but was actually genuine, not appreciative of it.
But you still didn't want to make a bad mood - it could be the last time you heard her voice.

"Anyways, gotta go mom. See ya in a while. I'll get revenge of that bastard." You implied AFO, which made your mother sigh.

"You don't have to...just come back safe, alright?"

"Yeah yeah. I got it. Bye."
You said your final goodbyes and hung up the call, sighing and threw your phone in your pocket.

"Was that your mother?"
You heard Todoroki's voice right next to you, making you stumble a bit from surprise.

"Whoa- since when were you there?"
You asked, as he apologized for starting you.
"Yeah. That was my mom."

"She went to see your brother?"
He asked with slight concern, as you nodded.

"Yep. But eh. I'm fine with that, it's not like I'm never gonna see her again."
You said, but with slight hesitation.

"Yeah. You can't die again."
He pointed out, well you had a record for 'dying' a couple of times. You laughed.

"Yeah, well I won't, I'm immortal."
You joked with a playful smirk.

"I'm serious."

"Yeah. I'll try my best. You shouldn't worry about me, I'll be fine. I'm actually concerned more about you. About....your older brother."

Todoroki stayed silent for a while which made you panic in the gut, wondering if you hurt his feelings, but before you could say anything, he smiled at you.
"It's fine. I'll take him down... it's my responsibility to do so. I'm glad you're here to talk with me, I know you can relate."

You smiled back, from empathy and slight concern. Guess nobody can be safe during this war, there weren't anyone who wasn't hurt.

Not from far, you both heard a bus engine start, and Iida calling out for everyone that it's time to go. You both left for the bus.

As you sat on your seat, looking out the window, you couldn't help but rethink about the conversation you had with Todoroki. You two weren't really close at the start of the school year, and you didn't really think you would have something to relate with him.
Even it was something bitter, you smiled, having something to relate with a friend somehow made you relieved from entering the war.

You were thinking for a while, until you felt someone tapping your head.
"Hey, it's time to get off. You seem quiet today, is there something that's bothering you? Want me to kill it?"
It was Bakugo, your beloved.

You let out a laugh, as you got off your seat and walked out the bus with him.
As soon as you got off, you gave him a big hug, squeezing tight.
His face flushed a little, looking confused, but pat you on the back anyways.

"I'm good. Thanks Katsuki."
You grinned big, as he scratched the back of his neck from embarrassment.

"Then stop worrying me. I know when you're thinking too much." He flicked your forehead lightly so it wouldn't hurt you.

You released the hug, tackling him and laughing.
"Aw, worried? You should worry about yourself more. You got your abdomen penetrated."

"And you literally died. Y'know that hurt more than my stupid body being penetrated. That didn't hurt at all." He said, pouting.

"I...won't die again." You smiled at him, slightly hesitant while saying since you weren't so sure.

"You hesitated."
He cupped your cheeks softly, but looking kind of pissed. "You're NOT going to die. You get that? But if you're meant to be, I'll take it instead."

Your eyes widened, surprised of how sweet he sounded. But concern filled you up again.
"No, no one's dying. There is NO one of us dying. You get that?" You corrected him, and he let out a small laugh.
"Deal."

"We're going to survive this, and get married 13 years later."

"You know you sound like a kid right now, right?"
He chuckled, face turning slightly red.
"Bet."

You walked with him to the base your class was staying, fingers intertwined. Some small talk went back and forth with you and him, this small moment left in your heart.

You and the others trained, preparing for the upcoming war, staying in the base. It was like every common day, but you felt you talked to the others more than usual. Everyone did.
You felt your relationships growing in the nervous situation- bitter, but sweet.
