"id be lying if I told you losing you was something I could handle."
-
"hey." I mumble into her ear, wrapping my arms around her waist from behind.

"Mike, I'm working." she whines, snipping the end of her patients hair. the lady in the seat chuckles to herself before telling us how cute we are, the usual.

"I just wanted to say hi." I whine, pouting over her shoulder. she laughs at me with red in her cheeks, looking down at the scissors clipping the hair.

"hello Mike, now please wait for me upstairs." she groans, making me wiggle my eyebrows up and down.

"oooh upstairs, I'll wait for you upstairs." I smirk at her, her rolling her eyes in reply.

"once a pervert, always a pervert." she chuckles, brushing the tangles out of her patients hair as I begin the familiar walk up the steps.

it's been a total of three weeks since our first date, and it's been great ever since. we go on a official 'date' every week, but we spend most days of the week together. I come visit her during her break or she comes and visits me then. the date after the first one, she held my hand every chance she could, and the one after, she kissed me. not like make out kissing, just a simple kiss, and I'm okay with that. everything is like how it was before all of this shit happened between us. I'm so glad she let me back into her life, because I don't know where I'd be without her by my side.

when I open the door, I immediately head for the kitchen. this place has become like a second home to me, so I know I can get whatever food I want when I want it. so I go get my favorites, pizza rolls.

while I'm pouring the entire bag on the plate, the door opens with Val walking inside. her cheeks get red when she sees me, and it honestly makes me feel uncomfortable.

"wow, a little hungry there?" she laughs, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"only a little bit." I laugh with her, placing the plate into the microwave.
Val walks into the kitchen and scans trough the fridge before pulling out a gallon of grape juice.

the microwave breaks our silence, my focus suddenly focusing on the pizza rolls that awaited me.

"so Michael," Val says from behind me, making me turn around to face her but I immediately regret turning around. before I could even think, her lips are on mine. i pull away so quickly that I couldn't even remember her lips on mine and I'm glad I don't.

"um, Val, I don't feel that way."

"of course you feel that way. what about all of the cute little moments we shared? and all of the compliments you gave me?" he says, her arms snaking around my neck.

"well, one, there weren't any moments I remember, and two, I complimented you to impress you so you would approve for amethyst. not for you." I reply to her questions, removing her arms that were latched around my neck.

"oh whatever, I know you like me." she says again, trying to wrap her arms around my neck, but I pull them away before she can even touch my shoulders.

"I don't like you, Val!" I exclaim, pushing her body away from mine.

"I don't believe you." her fingers trail up the sleeve of my shirt slowly.

"well I'm in love with your niece!" I yell, throwing her hand away from my arm.

"you shouldn't." she says. "you should be in love with me."

"well, I'm not." I groan, walking to amethyst's room to try and avoid her. I shut the door behind me, but she opens it right back up, eying me up and down.
