"I got lost in him, and it's the kind of lost that's exactly like being found."
-the two of them had been trough hell and back, but they both had gotten through it, and now everything was as it should be. the tough times and the heartbreaks had been washed over, the constant worry of losing each other was long gone, the two of them had finally been at ease. no worries constantly running through their minds, no awkwardness shared between them, nothing of that sort.
Michael and Amethyst had been through so much, you'd think they have been together for at least ten years, but no. now it was five, five years together since they moved in to the apartment the two of them loved. five years since they knew they'd be together for the long run, and they haven't left each other, despite all of the things that try to get in their way.
there was a constant crying throughout their apartment they moved in to five years ago with both the boy and the girl groaning once more from the repetitive cries.
"I'll go get him." Amethyst sighed heavily whilst rising slowly from the king size bed.
"no, i got him, babe." her boyfriend did as she did moments before, her smiling to herself through the darkness.
"remind me why we decided to have a kid again." she smiled slightly with a rub of the eyes.
"well, y'know." she could basically see Michael's smirk, even though the dark was overwhelming them. after several years had passed, there was still no denying that Michael was a huge pervert. you could just tell when he meant something in the dirty way, without even seeing him or his facial expressions.
"fucking pervert." amethyst exhales with a laugh escaping her lips.
"that's me!" he echoes while walking to the nursery they made for their son, hunter.
Michael walks into the dark, small, room to see their baby in his blue onesie kicking his legs while tears flood down his cheeks.
"come here, little guy." he reaches over the bars to pick up his baby boy in his arms. as soon as the baby is lifted up the air and into his arms, the crying had stopped. his son's once frowning face had turned into a toothless smile with drool falling from his lips.
Michael just laughs at how his son is so smart and clever for being so young. the baby rests on his hip while he walks back to him and amethyst's bedroom.
"someone wanted to sleep with us." Michael smiled to his son, inching closer and closer to the bed.
amethyst just smiled, she smiled so wide despite her having work tomorrow morning or how late it was. she had achieved her goal in life, like she'd always wanted.
their son, Hunter, mumbled a few things that nobody could understand while he crawled into his mother's arms. Amethyst smiled at her son, him being possibly the cutest baby anyone could ever see. he had soft, pale skin, grayish green eyes that matched Michael's, and blonde hair just like his mother's.
"c'mere baby." she said quietly, pressing her lips to her baby's temple and rubbing her thumb across his small hand.
"can Mikey join in too?" Michael lays down on the bed with hopeful eyes.
"of course." she replies softly with Michael's arms wrapping around both her and their baby. she looks down at the two of them who had closed their eyes in their attempt to sleep. she couldn't even name how many nights had ended just like this and how happy it made her, even if it were such a small thing.
moments like these made her happiest. the moments where she was with the two boys she loved the most in the world. when she admired their features, comparing how much they are alike. she is happy. she's been happy for some time now, and she kept on thinking about what her mother had said many years ago.
