"thinking about you is like torturing myself and I can't find a way to stop it."
-
(song of chapter is This by Ed sheeran)whatever just happened was completely and utterly amazing. it's sure something I've missed since i first came here. his soft, pink lips on my pale plump ones. or his lips on my neck, with electricity running through our veins. honestly, I don't know which one I'd want more.
but he can't just ignore me for two weeks- well we can't just ignore each other for two weeks and think this, whatever it was, makes everything okay again. he can't just come and kiss up to me and think he didn't say he didn't trust me, like it disappeared.
"sorry about that." his voice tears me from my thoughts. he's walking towards me zipping up his tight black jeans, putting back on his green day tshirt after.
"it's fine." I smile shyly to him.
"so what is it you wanted to talk about?"
"this." is all I say.
"well, that song is pretty great."
"I don't mean the song, michael." I chuckle, rubbing my hands on my temple. "I mean us."
"oh." he said with his head dropping.
"I shouldn't have just barged in here and everything I'm-""Mike, stop okay?" I cut him off again, trying my best to look into his eyes full of stories. "I'm so confused, we ignore each other for like two weeks and then this happens."
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that." he replies, wiping his nose quickly.
I don't try and reply, I just wait for him to say something, anything.
"I meant what I said ya know." he speaks up after a minute or so of silence. "that I can't be friends with you anymore. I've tried so hard to be friends with you since I came here and I can't see you as a friend, I can't help but over react every time a guy touches you that isn't me- I just can't do it, Ames."
"hey, look at me." I whisper, lifting his chin for his eyes to meet mine. "can we just start over? again?"
"for, what the second time?" he chuckles, our eyes still being locked together.
"maybe." I bite my lip in nervousness.
"well yeah. we can start over."
"thank you." I let out a big breath of relief before I reach up and embrace him in a hug. with his face in the crook of my neck and my hands in his hair, I couldn't think of a more perfect moment.
we stay like that for a while, kiss lips leaving small kisses on my collarbone every now and then.
"Ames?" he breaks our hug, still holding onto my hands.
"yes, Mike?" I smile to him, still running one hand through his hair.
"will you do the honor of going on a date with me?"
I don't answer him, I just pull my face closer to his until his lips are firmly on mine. the kiss isn't deepened or make out material, it's just a simple, electrifying kiss that sends comfort and warmness through my body.
"but we've gotta take things slow." I say to him with our foreheads still touching.
"anything for you." he says, looking into my eyes before I have to kiss him again. just like the first one, it's short and sweet, but still sending chills through my body and butterflies in my stomach.
"what happened to taking things slow?" he asks be as our lips pull away.
"just had to do it one more time." I smile to him, biting the inside of my cheek.
