~Anna's POV~

So doc told me I'd be staying here for a while and my mind immediately started thinking of the loss in my studies and the absents and the-oh Lord! So much homework! TTuTT

"Now be a good patient and be patient." Doc said and was about to leave when I spotted two people, wanting permission to enter my room and upon doc's consent, they came in.

"Hi Konan~" I sang seeing my best friend, but the other person wasn't quite lucky, "bastard," was all I said looking at Itachi. Doc exited the room, suppressing his laughter. He was one odd doctor.

Konan jumped the whole space from the door to me, and hugged me so hard I thought my heart would give in again.

"Oh Anna! You had me so worried! And these people won't even let us see you! Talk about cruelty! But you are ok right? I mean you look like you can kill somebody right now if you are pissed  off-" She kept going on in her worry.

"Yes Konan I am fine." I patted my friend's back then looked at the other person. "What brings you here?"

"Oh I don't know, you tell me." Damn him. He was playing oblivious innocent.

"Is somebody you know, admitted here?"

"Now that you mention it, there is. You know, black hair, matching eyes? She looks pretty much like you." He said advancing to the bed slowly.

"Oh yes! I know her! But sadly I haven't seen her in a week or so." Konan was looking from me to Itachi and I was busy anticipating what the guy would say next when my thoughts were interrupted as he put one of his knees on the bed and brought his face really close to mine. Oh God was I red now.

"Well, if you see her, give her these for me." Itachi said, placing a whole bunch of water lotuses on my lap. While I was swooning over my favourite flowers, he kissed my forehead, lightly and met my eyes. "And tell her I am extremely sorry and that, I would do anything to make it up to her." He took advantage of my surprise and went to the door and with a final, "take care", he left.

Did that just happen?

I looked at the smirking Konan and voiced my question, "did that just happen?"

"Oh yes it did!" She squealed.

"Wha-? Pinch me!" And she did. "Not that hard!"

"He liiiiiikkkkeeessss you!" Konan said, imitating Happy from Fairy Tail.

"No way!"

"Yes way!"

"How can you confirm?" I asked her, already regretting it, since Konan was always better at providing facts and reasons.

"Well, when we all found out that you were hospitalised, Itachi was quite depressed."

"Duh, he should be. He's the reason I am here." I countered it.

"And you brought you lotuses." She pointed the flowers.

"Now that you mention it...how did he know I love lotus? Did you tell him?" I looked at Konan, suspiciously.

"No way. I told him he should get poppies but he said 'I know her choice'." My friend replied, mimicking the Uchiha this time.

"Ahahahhaha! You got his voice right!"

"Aaaannnndddd!!! He said he would do 'anything' to make it up to you! Beat that Anna! You can't run away from the truth." I looked away.

As always her argument had a point and more than seventy percent of the times, she was right. I sighed.

"He's just guilty Konan. None of this is by his own will." I answered, trying to convince myself more than my friend.

"Oh you will see." She smirked.

The rest of the visiting hours allowed, Konan stayed with me and we talked and laughed, until Doc came and scolded me to rest and stop laughing.

I felt happy inside when I went to sleep. I had Tim bring me a pot to put the lotuses in and he stayed in the room through the night.

I shouldn't say so, but being hospitalised has its own special privileges.
