~Itachi's POV~

Today was just another morning. I was walking with my earphones on as usual. Anna walked a few paces behind me as usual. Eric and Sasuke left early today for school, not as usual.

When we descend the bus and start the small walk to the school gates, Anna usually pokes my arm or something to gather attention if she had something to talk about. I put away my earphones anyway around this time. Today was no exception.

Noticing that Anna did not start any conversation today, I decided to break the silence. "You are too quiet today. Its throwing the nature out of balance."

She did not answer. I strained my ears for any sounds without turning my head. I sighed. Was she being quiet on purpose or something?

"Oi Ann-" I stopped mid-speech because when I turned my head, she wasn't there.

I panicked. How long has she not been there?!

Deciding to retrace my steps, I walked back and turned the corner where thankfully, I found her, near a pole, taking support from a wall. I quickly went to her. Was she having another attack?

"You ok?" I asked but she just screamed when I started speaking.

"Gyaahh!" She looked at me and sighed. "Don't bloody scare me like that!" -.-

"What happened? You ok?" Anna nodded and slumped against the wall again.

"I feel so nauseated."

I sighed.

"You should tell me when you want to take a little rest. Its not like I will ditch you or something.

I got so scared for a second that you might have fallen somewhere or had an attack or something!" She just smiled. "Oi! I am trying to scold you here!"

"I know. Thank you for that." She got up and patted my shoulder, restarting her walk. I looked at her, disbelieved. What did that even mean?

"So, any idea why you might be feeling like that?" I asked, matching paces with her.

"I haven't slept in two days Itachi..." Sure enough she looked tired.

"Why?"

"I can't sleep. But if I do, there's nightmares. And now I don't want to eat anything too. Ugggghhhh!" I just looked at her with a frown. For someone so lively and energetic like her, she looked so defeated.

"Why didn't you take today off then?"

"I don't know how many sleepless night await me. I'm not wasting my attendance over something so trivial-"

"So trivial? Not sleeping and eating is not trivial. You should get it checked."

"Yeah! I should!" She smiled but it wasn't a good smile. "Then I would ask them to give me pills for sleeping! And being the potential suicidal human being that I am, I will consume all those pills at once and-" She cut herself off, then raised her hands in the air, yelling the climactic word, "DIE!" I slapped my forehead.

"Anna seriously, go to your doctor or I will tell your brothers to do it for you."

"Nu. I'm waiting a few days to see what really happens."

"About what-"

"Oh look we are here~!" She sang and quickly went to class, avoiding further questions from me.

The rest of the day, I could see her trying her best to stay wake and pay attention to class but failing.
