Chapter 51

~Anna's POV~

Oh Lord I feel sooooo deeeaaadddddddd.

I still couldn't sleep and the summer vacations were coming in a few weeks. I was looking forward to them but not looking forward to them. I took today off from school since I wasn't feeling all that well, but I still went to the fields on my own. It was day still, so Tim allowed it.

I tossed and turned in the grass, trying to rid my mind of thoughts of Marcus who was strangely there today. Realising I was getting nowhere, I got up and dusted my clothes off and was on my way home.

I stuffed my hands in my pockets and walked really slowly back to the station. I was about to enter there but stopped when I spotted Itachi in a nearby shop.

I crossed the road and went to him quietly and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Aah!" He jumped, clearly startled by my sudden appearance. "Don't do that." I smirked.

"How do YOU like that for a change?"

"Alright alright I am sorry."

"Forgiven bud~" He made to cross the road and I accompanied him. "So what were you doing here?"

"I can ask you the same thing. You skipped today because you were unwell but it doesn't seem the case." Itachi asked, eyeing me to decipher whatever codes he assumed I was hiding. Lol.

"I went to

the fields to calm my mind a little."

"Convincing enough. I had to buy some stationary." Then instead of going in the station, he stopped, I did too. "Are you up for walking?"

"When am I not?"

"Did you inform anybody?" He asked when we were a kilometer or more away from the station.

"I messaged Tim telling him I might be late. No need to worry. They know I can't get kidnapped."

"Yeah, people only kidnap those who are useful to them." Itachi mocked with a smirk.

"Yeah- HEY!"

"Took you long enough to understand."

"My brain is processing things very slowly nowadays."

"You better do something about it before it gets any worse."

"Hmm, you know I'm trying."

"Try harder."

"Even I have limits."

"First time you acknowledged that."

"It happens when you're mentally disturbed."

"It will get better. Just think positive and everything will be fine." I just nodded. I didn't have the energy to put up a good fight.

We both walked and walked, talking about random stuff when I spotted a group of very familiar people just around the corner. Among them was someone I could not believe.

"Uh oh." Itachi noticed my surprise.

"What?" I just pointed to the group who were laughing like maniacs.

"Trouble."

"They are from school, but who's that with them?" He too noticed the guy I beat up. XD

"I know him."

"You do?"

"Yeah, but we are not the best of buddies. Let's just get out of here without causing trouble." Itachi nodded and we both silently passed them.

I breathed a sigh of relief but it was too soon, as the group spotted me and stood in our way.

"Well well well, if it isn't the new kid." The leader bully mocked. New my foot. Its been a bloody year.

"We don't want any trouble." I stated plainly.

"Oh? You say it like you can cause trouble."

"You know I can kick your butt anytime. I mean I've already done it twice."

"Bitch." Then he turned to the group. "New boy, if you want our recognition, teach this girl a lesson."

"I have a name you know!" I was getting pissed by being called 'kid' ' girl'.

"Stop. You're making a scene." Itachi whispered.

"It can't be helped." He just rolled his eyes. He had every right to since it was me who suggested at first to not cause a scene.

"I remember. You go be Anna, transfer student from America. Guess what? New boy here is from America too." The bully, whose name I never knew said.

"I know who he is."

"You settle this new boy. Catch up with us when you're finished." With that, the rest of the gang walked away and left 'new boy' to fight with me. Ugh.

"So your name is 'new boy' nowadays? I'm disappointed. I liked the former name better." I commented.

"You're one to talk bitch."

"Really, Dylan? Is this what you've stooped to calling me?"

"You deserve worse names. I'm surprised you haven't killed anybody while your stay here." I narrowed my eyes at this.

"Anna." Itachi warned again. Dylan noticed this.

"Oh? So now you put the leash on a new one? One advice boy, run away, she'll be the death of you." He spoke to Itachi, boiling my blood.

"I'm shocked to how much you've changed. Marcus wouldn't be happy." I stated calmly. Dylan was Marcus' best friend.

"How can you so casually say that when you're the one who's responsible for his death?!"

I looked to the ground and bit my lip. This was going to get nasty.
