Jack Atlas x Reader

There was a sudden knock on the door and slight giggling. Yusei, obviously knowing who it was, put down his wrench and went over to the door. He peeked outside to see your figure jumping up and down like a child. He couldn't help but let out a small laugh as he opened the door.

"Glad you could come (y/n)."

"Of course Yusei! There is no way I could miss this!" You snickered.

"He's upstairs resting. The medicine is on the table over there if he needs it."

"Mhm! Got it! So why isn't Crow here?"

"He's out working extra hours to earn more money."

"Let me guess, Jack's been wasting it again?"

"Yup. Sorry for calling you so suddenly but I needed someone to look after him while I was out."

"It's alright Yusei, I'm actually glad you called me here." Yusei ruffled your hair and put on his jacket.

"Try not to get him too worked up."

"Hehe no promises."

He waved a goodbye and left out the door leaving you alone in the room. It was already late at night and Yusei suddenly called you while you were watching t.v. Turned out Jack had gotten sick earlier that day and Yusei had to be somewhere that night. You agreed to it immediately. Why? Because you always loved teasing and messing with Jack. And this was another perfect situation! Jack would always be annoyed from it but never pushed you away. You two seemed to always be together so you were often mistook as a couple. Jack would stay quiet at that while you would laugh and shrug it off. It still surprised you that Yusei would call you, but it eventually slipped your mind. In a few minutes, you arrived at his place.

"Alright, let's see how the former champ is doing." You hummed and went to find Jack's room. When you arrived, you heard quiet snores.

"Ah, isn't he sleeping soundly." You opened the door and walked inside. Sure enough, Jack was in his bed sprawled out and snoring. You placed your palm on his head.

"He's burning up." You ran back to grab a wet cloth and some of the medicine. You gently placed the cloth on his forehead and fixed up his pillows.

"I forgot how much of a messy sleeper he was." You snorted. "But then again, I'm one too."

Pulling up the sheets, you made sure not to make too much noise. Reaching back up to feel his temperature, he let out a sneeze. Startled, you jumped back.

"Ugh, what is this..?" Jack raised his hand to take the cloth off his forehead.

"Hey you need that!" Jack flinched when he heard you.

"Huh? What are you doing here (y/n)?"

"I was called here by Yusei to watch over you while he was gone." You took back the cloth and picked up the medicine. "Now that your awake, time to take your medicine!"

"Hold on just a moment! Who said I needed someone to babysit me!?"

"Yusei did! Now open up!"

"Absolutely not! I can take care of myself!"

"Oh come on Jack I'm being nice here."

"I doubt it. Did you do something to me while I was asleep?"

"What!? No! I'm just here to help you!"

"Nonsense!" He brought the blanket over his head and turned to face the other direction.

"Now your just being childish Jack." You pouted and tried to pull of the blanket. "How did you get sick anyways?"
