*pant**pant* "Have you found her yet?" Asked Yuto in a panicked voice.
"Not yet. God where could she have gone!?"
"Check in the eastern part of the city and I'll check north." Shay nodded and took off to the east.
"You better be alright (y/n)!" He exclaimed as he ran off north.
Yuto made sure to stay on top of the roofs and be as quiet as he could. He and Shay still hadn't explored all of Standard so there could be enemies anywhere. You also accompanied them and escaped your homeland after it was turned to rubble by Fusion. After arriving at Standard, Yuto and Shay wouldn't let you leave from their hideout. You protested but they were worried that you might get captured just like Lulu.
"I can take care of myself you two! Quit worrying so much!"
"I've already lost my little sister and I sure as hell won't let them take you too!"
"Shay is right (y/n), I wouldn't know what I'd do if you were taken."
"Don't worry, I'll never let myself fall into their clutches. I promise."
"You have better kept that promise (y/n)..." Yuto landed safely on a tall building and peered over the edge. All around him were normal Standard residents and students. Not a single sign of you anywhere. He grew even more worried.
*Your POV*
"Mmm this bread smells delicious! I bet those two are going to love it!" You skipped out of the bakery and held the bag of bread to your chest.
"I hope I wasn't out too long. If they found out I went here without their knowing then I'll never here the end of it." You casually strolled along the sidewalk and everyone went past you as if you were just another student from there. You learned how to blend in quite nicely unlike your two friends who thought it would be best to stay in disguise and travel in the dark like ninjas or something. Except you never mentioned where you got the money to get this stuff, it was your own little secret. *cough* probably stole it somewhere *cough*
"They should learn to loosen up just a bit." You opened the bag and took out (favorite pastry) and nibbled on it. "Then again, it's them that I'm talking about. Their not really the social kind." You chuckled at your own statement and placed the pastry back inside.
"Ah! I'm almost home!" You slipped into an alley and climbed a fence to get on the rooftop. You would've just went the normal way home but Shay insisted that you keep their location a secret. You didn't want to but then Yuto took his side and won the argument. It was frustrating really.
"Aaaaannnd I'm back." You jumped down, making sure you didn't drop the bag as well as any of the bread and pastries. You went inside the worn down place and put the bag down.
"Looks like they aren't home yet." You let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness, I wasn't in the mood to hear another lecture."
As you calmly paced around the small room and fixed up something to eat, two tired and extremely worried people approached the hideout. You weren't aware of their presence and just softly sang one of your favorite songs. Outside, the two figures spoke to one another.
"Any luck?"
"No, you?"
"Same."
"Agh! What are we going to do with that girl! She's just like another little sister." Shay said harshly.
"I suppose for you she is." Yuto said while wiping some sweat off his forehead.
"I'm going to go search around the entire city one more time. Stay here to see if she comes back." Yuto nodded and Shay went off again. Still oblivious to what was happening outside, Yuto walked in exhausted. When he heard your singing he voice, he immediately exclaimed.
"(Y/n)!?"
"Ahh! What the!? Oh, welcome home Yuto!" You kept your composure and offered him a warm smile. He was shocked to see you but very relieved to see that you were alright. He fell onto his knees and returned the smile.
"Are you okay Yuto? Where's Shay?" You rushed over to him and crouched down. Yuto didn't look at you. He was having mixed feelings, mostly anger and happiness.
"(Y/n), did you go out into the city?"
"Uhhhhh." You gulped.
"Yes you did. Did you know how worried we were? How worried I was?"
"Look, I know what your going to say and I'm sorry."
"You're really troublesome you know?" He let out a deep breath and suddenly pulled you to him.
"Woah! Y-yuto!" Your cheeks were tinted red and he hugged you tighter.
"I'm happy your okay (y/n)." Out of instinct he gave you a small kiss on the cheek. You let out a surprised gasp.
"U-umm." Through all the times you and Yuto spent together, he had never done anything like that. You were too embarrassed to back away so instead you hid your face in his chest. Yuto was also startled by his own actions and became flustered when you snuggled closer to him.
"I'm sorry (y/n), I don't know what came over me." He whispered. He really hoped he didn't ruin the relationship you two had.
"I must've really worried you huh?" You giggled and gripped his shirt lightly.
"(Y/n)?" You managed to cool down and cupped his cheek. At first Yuto didn't know what you were doing until you leaned closer. That's when he began stuttering like crazy. You hushed him with a passionate kiss and pulled away with a devious smile.
"Yuto, I think.... we should be more than friends." You poked his cheeks and he held you closer.
"I think so too." He gently pulled you closer to him for another kiss. You were centimeters apart until the door crashed open.
"Yuto has she come home yet!?" Shay breathed heavily but suddenly held his breath when he saw the situation before him. And just like that he slammed the door shut. You and Yuto stared at the door with a surprised expression. Outside, Shay yelled something to the two of you.
"I'll talk to you later about your outing (y/n). For now, continue your uh-" Shay didn't finish his sentence, he felt really awkward in those situations. So instead he walked away going where ever he could.
