You watched the clouds outside your window and the vast ocean down below. With a small yawn you reclined even more so on your seat and took a look around the small jet plane. It's been years since you've last seen Duel Academy, ever since you and your friends graduated from there.

You believed it would be the last time you'd be there but apparently that wasn't the case. You, and many of your friends, we're called for a small reunion and to make a guest appearance for the other students. The headmaster wanted you to have a graduation duel against the top students of the Academy. You thought it was quite the honor since the headmaster only invited the top students from the years before.

"Ah, I wonder how much has changed. Even if it has been just a few years."

Although you all split up, you kept in touch with one another despite your busy lives. That is, except for one person. The very person you truly hoped to see today. You were upset that he had left on his own just like that but it was inevitable with his adventure loving spirit. How you wondered how much he had changed.

The speaker came on and interrupted your thoughts. "We'll be landing on the island shortly, please stay seated until the plane comes to a full stop."

"That didn't take long." You peered through the window once more. There you got a full view of the island and spotted a few students walking around. You felt yourself smile and you could hardly contain your excitement.

"Hehe I wonder if they polished up their dueling skills after graduation." You chuckled to yourself and took out your deck. Yeah you had gotten busy these past few years but you always found time to touch up your dueling skills.
When the plane finally landed, you sat up and grabbed your things before being escorted to the main building.

"(Y/n) is that you?"

You looked straight ahead and spotted your old friend. "Alexis is nice to see you again!" She welcomed you with a quick hug which you immediately returned.

"How have you been (y/n)? Is everything going okay for you?"

"You bet! It's been quite the workload but I'm taking it easy!"

For the rest of the walk she accompanied you and you two caught up. Turns out her studies were going smoothly and she was at the top of her class. Soon enough her career of teaching here at Duel Academy would be a reality.

"Wait a minute, is that Chazz over there?" You pointed ahead and tried to hold in your laughs. Alexis did the same.

"What's up Chazz?" You asked with an amused glint in your eyes.

"Well well well, if it isn't (f/n) (l/n)." Chazz was carrying various bags and suitcases that were practically crushing him. Then again he was working for Aster so that must've been normal for him.

"Didn't think you'd make it with that schedule of yours." He mocked.

"Oh please like I'd miss out on this." You pushed on one of the bags which was enough to make him tip over and lose balance.

"Come on you two, we're supposed to meet up inside so let's go." Alexis walked past you two and headed to the main entrance.

You snorted and eventually helped Chazz with his bags. "We're coming!"

As you three scurried off inside, you met even more old friends. You saw Zane, Syrus, Bastion, heck, even Jesse was there for some reason. The entire place filled with chatter as everyone got caught up with one another. You were happy too but you couldn't help but feel disappointed.

"I guess he couldn't make it." You sighed. "Such a shame, I really wanted to see him again." You wouldn't admit it but you did have a lowkey crush on Jaden. The years you spent with him here in Duel Academy was responsible for that.
