Aster x Reader

You sped through the city streets one cold morning eager to get to your destination. Today was the day, the day where you would start your new job. It was especially thrilling because the available spots were limited and you were lucky enough to get in. You were to work under some dueling champion and help with managing schedules and other important papers. Sure it sounded boring but to you, it was an opportunity of a lifetime.

"I can't wait!" Your grip on your bag tightened from excitement. "I wonder who he is, they said he was a total expert and that he hasn't lost to anyone yet!"

Your sheer giddiness prompted you to wake up pretty early today, most of the buildings were still closed and other office workers weren't even there yet. Realizing you had so much time to spare, you decided to grab a hot drink to officially start your day.

"This seems like a good place." There was a small cafe at the corner of the street that sold a variety of drinks and food which emitted a pleasant aroma. You walked inside and went to the front counter.

"What could I get you ma'am?"

"I would like this please!" You pointed to the hot drink of your choice.

"Alright coming right up."

After ordering and paying, the cashier told you to sit down and wait until your drink was finished and they called your name. You nodded and went to find a table to sit in. The entire place was empty since it was early in the morning so you sat by the windows.

"Hopefully my boss isn't too much of a pain." You giggled.

After waiting for a few minutes or so, someone else entered the small shop. You looked up and saw someone with grayish hair which was nicely combed and he was wearing a suit. He looked like he meant business.

"I wonder if he works under the same company as me." You mumbled. It could be true but who knows?

After ordering, he let out a frustrated sigh and went to find someplace to sit. He had an annoyed expression so you could only assume he wasn't having the greatest of days, even though this one just started.

"(Y/n)! We have an order for Miss (y/n)!" One woman called.

"That's me!" You got up and went over to grab your drink. The boy that sat down watched you curiously with his deep blue eyes.

As you sipped away you were planning to head out again, but something stopped you. At the corner of your eye you saw a few pastries they were also selling. Seeing as how you didn't have a proper breakfast yet, you ordered some of those too. The other person was still waiting for whatever they ordered and they still had an annoyed expression.

"Hmm, I wonder if I can brighten him up a bit." You ordered multiple pastries so you could share some with the stranger. It looked like he could use some company after all.

"Here you are." They handed you a bag of the ones you ordered and you thanked them before coming over to the blue eyed stranger.

"Excuse me but, would you like to possibly share these?" You gestured to the pastries inside the bag you were holding.

"Huh?" He looked at you with surprise. "Do I know you?"

You shook your head. "No, but I would like to get to know you." You smiled kindly at him which only surprised him more.

"You don't know who I am?"

"Oops! Am I suppose to?" You grinned at him. "My name's (y/n), and you?" You took a seat in front of him and offered him a handshake. He stared at your hand for a while until he shook it.

"It's Aster."

"Well good morning Mr. Aster, may I ask what's got you aggravated this morning?"

His expression was no longer annoyed or angry anymore, instead he was mildly confused yet amused by your positive attitude. "Ah just some business things and events, typical stuff."
