Marching, that's all you heard outside of your room. Looks like The Professor must've assigned a new mission for the Obelisk Force. You peered out of your window and saw nothing but the vast ocean in front of you. How did you even get involved with this? They said this place was supposedly the best school there was and that every student came out successful and well-mannered. But you thought it was just some prison like place to dump your kids. You'd give anything to escape from here.

There was a knock on your door. "(L/n), you've been assigned to the Synchro group. Hurry and take your position before they leave." He ordered.

"Right away sir." You put on your blue jacket and fixed up your hair. Not even a minute later, you walked out and shut your door closed.

"Another mission my dear?"

You let go of the door knob and turned around. Besides almost every student here, Yuri was possibly the strangest of them all. "Good afternoon Yuri." You did a quick bow. "And yes, it seems I've been assigned another."

The weird thing about him was that you couldn't read him at all. Ever since your arrival they've been training you all harshly and had high expectations for every student. The once lively and diverse students soon became lifeless soldiers that listened to the Professor's every command. Luckily you hadn't fallen as far as they have, you still had your own free thinking and a somewhat more vibrant personality.

"Return back immediately, I'd like to have a small discussion with you (y/n)~"

You nodded and walked to your station. Yuri had taken a small interest in you since he always seemed to be where you were and greeted you every day. Strangely enough though, at times you couldn't tell if he was being friendly or just emotionless like every other student. His random outbursts and sadistic tendencies always caught you by surprise.

"There's no way he could feel any other emotion, he's as sadistic and lifeless like everyone else here." You thought he had some sort of crush on you but you shot down the idea. It was way to ridiculous.

"But at least he treats me somewhat more human than the others. I guess."

It was true though, despite his evil looking demeanor, he was exceptionally kind towards you which made you feel terrified. In any normal circumstance you'd be intrigued by him too, but this was no ordinary circumstance. Just obey those higher than you and try to escape this place. You had no time to be caught up about some boy.

"Line up!" One commander yelled. You and five others obeyed and lined up in a straight line. After that you all activated your duel disks and were sent to the Synchro Dimension. Apparently you had some 'business' to take care of before the entire city was invaded.

"I hate this." You whispered. "All of this." You never agreed to be one of Academia's soldiers, but you had no choice in the matter.

"Spread out!" One of the Obelisk soldiers shouted. "You're to look for this individual!" He held up a photograph of some man with blond hair wearing a purple uniform. You assumed he was a criminal of some sort or a traitor.

"This place is a dump." You looked around you and saw nothing but dirty homes and trash filled streets. Above you was a shining city with towering buildings. Such a strange place.

"Why couldn't I just live my life normally? No, I just had to be sent to that prison." You hissed. The idea of unifying the four worlds into one astonished you. It was supposed to be a noble cause but you couldn't see it that way. You were taking away the homes and lives of others. That was nowhere near being noble.
