The loud ringing of your phone awoke you early that day. As usual, you turned it off and got ready for the day. Change, eat breakfast, and head off to work. It was a cycle that you were used to. You grabbed your breakfast and sat down on your sofa. You were currently watching the news and they were talking about the one and only, Yusei Fudo. Not surprising, he's practically on every news channel. You sighed and grabbed the remote to switch off the t.v.

"He really is something." You smiled. "Being a duelist, I miss those days." You checked the time and realized it was time to leave.

"But that was in the past, I need to move on and live a normal life." You walked out your front door.

Your workplace wasn't that far so you usually went walking. Along the way, two very familiar kids past you.

"Hey (y/n)! Where are you going?"

"Hello Leo." You grinned. "I'm off to work."

"Whaaat? But your still too young to be working already!" He complained.

"Haha, thank you for the compliment Leo, but I need to start working."

"Why? You should be enjoying yourself (y/n)!" You turned to Luna.

"I am don't worry. Besides, my parents always told me I should live a stable and normal life."

"Must be pretty boring always working and stuff." Leo muttered.

"Leo!" Luna hit him on the shoulder.

"It's fine Luna." You chuckled. "It's true, I do tend to work a lot."

"Then you should take a break! Come and hang out with Yusei and the rest like old times!" Leo insisted. Your pace slowed down.

"Umm, well, if I ever have free time I'll consider it."

"Awesome! Well, we need to get going (y/n), see you later!" The two twins moved ahead to their school. You stopped walking.

"Like old times huh?" It felt like almost yesterday, you and Yusei battling it out in the tournament. It had to be the best duel you ever had. Even though you lost to him, you gained a friendship with him. And that was even better. But as soon as that duel finished between you two, your parents finally closed your dueling career. Saying that it was improper, and that you should be living a life like others. Working and maintaining a good job and living well. They had high expectations of you, and you didn't want to break it. So you did it. You quit dueling.

"Huh, how long has it been since I drew a card?" You raised your hand and mimicked the motion of drawing a card. "And my duel runner. It's been stashed away for some time now. I wonder if it still works." You looked behind you. Eyes gleaming from the past memories you had.

Your hand trembled. "No. That's over for me. This is my life now." You held you head high and continued walking to work. A hint of sadness crossed your face. After that duel you had with Yusei, you became good friends. You were introduced to Jack, Crow, Akiza, everyone. The times you all spent together were your most valuable ones. But once you quit, you hardly had any time to see them. Growing more and more distant. To the point where you and Yusei wouldn't speak to each other at all.

"I hope he's doing well." You made it to the front steps of your workplace. A large, tall office building. Looking at it made you frown. Yes, live a normal life. You sighed and walked inside. After checking in, you went up to your office.

"Oh look, more paperwork." You slouched on your chair and grabbed your pen. This was also a normal occurrence. Every day, there would be a huge pile of work on your desk. But today, it seemed to be more than usual.
