Monroe was still pulling up several clearbags that seemed to be filled with pills. Now y'all know how I am, I was not about to just sit here and let this shit happen again I learned my lesson from drugs back with Chres. Speaking of him, I turned around looking to see where he was at, this fool was staring at the drugs as if he was mesmerized himself.

"Dude!" I hollered grabbing everyone in the rooms attention. Monroe and his little "role dogs" stared at me. "I-I'm going to the bathroom.

I already knew for a fact Monroe was not about to let me just walk around knowing about this stash he had. I was most definitely going to call Amelia though, this was her problem not mine and I'll be damn if me or Chres get dragged back into the drug world again.

While everyone focused their attention back on the bags, I tried to walk out as quietly as I could to my room, I didn't need any more attention. When I finally got it I tried to close and lock my door up but as soon as I reached it, it swung open again.

"What the he-"

"What is going on? I don't need this shit right now you feel me?" Chres asked closing the door behind him, I scrunched my face at him. He was just in there staring at the damn drugs now all of a sudden he didn't "need" my situation in his life. How funny, I thought, I didn't recall saying that shit when he was running away from his drug war.

"I don't know, but what you just said and how you was acting up in there is what is really on my mind." I whispered angrily pushing Chres in his shoulder. I didn't want none of the other people to hear our conversation.

"What?! You think I want to get back into that shit?" He whispered back in defense.

"You tell me!" I turned away from him, dropping the subject. I had this bigger problem to deal with than another argument, all of that was for the birds as far as I was concerned.

Chres sighed before laying back on to my bed, The room was quiet and I didn't hear much from the living room either. I knew this night wasn't about to just end with them taking the drugs, I wasn't stupid. I read too many urban fictions to know how this was eventually going to turn out.

"Aight this is the plan, I'm gonna go check out what these niggas want. You stay in here and grab some stuff. When I come back we out, I'm not about to deal with any of this extra shit tonight."

"Okay, how much though?"

"How ever much you can fit, now I'm about to see what's up."

"Be safe, we don't know what their intentions are."

"I know, trust me I'm coming right back."

Chres rose up from my bed and slowly opened the door back up before walking out of the room. My heart started pounded because now I was alone and the pressure was getting to me. I didn't know how Chres talking to them was going to end up like, we already know his drug hiding spot, and I still don't know how he was able to get released two weeks early. Shit wasn't adding up, but I wasn't about to play Sherlock either, I had one job; get my things. And you couldn't tell me twice about that.

After a few more deep breaths I was back in my zone, first I opened up my closet grabbing my Pink® bag and just started stuffing panties, shirts, pants, whatever in it. Next I grabbed all my hygiene stuff from the bathroom, knowing Chres I would need damn near everything.

Lastly I grabbed my phone and charger from the night stand and Amelia popped right back in my head again. I contemplated on calling her knowing she was busy right now. But I needed to know what was going on. Oh well.

I went to her contact and waited for her to pick up.

"Hello?"

"Amy, why is Monroe over here? Him and some of his 'role dog's or whatever you want to call them pulling up drugs and shit from the living room."

"Wait what? What is the problem? Are you there by yourself?"

"No, Chres wanted to spend the night... thank God!"

"Oh, Nala I'm sorry I swear I didnt mean for this to happen. Last time I spoke to my cousin she told me two more weeks!"

"Yea well we good now, I'm just waiting on Chres to finish talking things out with them. I'm going to call you tomorrow aight?"

"Yea, and Nala I swear before God if Monroe gets out of hand Damon will personally beat ass." I laughed a little, we both knew Damon wasn't the best fighter especially against my boyfriend but it was a nice gesture. "I'm serious, but you okay though..."

"Hold up."

I paused when I finally heard my door creek open, my first instinct was to think it was Chres so I grabbed my bag. But I was wrong and at that moment I was getting mad. He walked into my room like it was still his.

"Nala? Can I ask you a question?" His blackened lips asked pushing the door back closed back behind him, he looked around my room. I was already getting disgusted and was praying that Chres would hurry up and come get me. "I know you're a smart girl, so you know why I'm here right?"

"Yea..." I said sarcastically, I was still going to hold my gaurd against this fool. "Look we can just cut all the bull shit right now, I'm no snitch, now you can leave."

I got up from the bed dropping my phone, I almost instantly forgot about my phone call with Amelia because I was more distracted by Monroe's existence in my room. I was about to holler but he didn't waste no time showing me that rusty switchblade in his fingers.

"Leave? Why would I do that? It's my house, you're the guest." By now this fool was only five feet from me, and I hated every second of it. I never been in this type of situation before so I honestly didn't know what to do or how to act.

"Okay, well where's my boyfriend? I can leave right now since I'm the guest."

"Why leave so soon though? I'm not finished talking." I felt him reach for my waist, his breath reeked of alcohol and at any second I was just going to go with my instinct and fight my way out of this one.

"Aye cuhz, pull up off of my girl. Y'all got what you wanted, and we still got two more weeks so y'all best to go, you feel me?" Chres spoke walking up to us, he grabbed Monroe's shoulder and I was just hoping this wouldn't turn out horrible. Again.

But my heart finally calmed down hearing his voice. It was bitter sweet, I was glad to be saved but at the same time I was pissed off how I was even put into this type of situation. Whatever they discussed shouldn't have ended with that nigga coming in my room, period.

"Okay cuhz." Monroe rose his hands up in a defensive gesture but I was STILL mad and disgusted how dare he even feel like he could approach me like this. "Sorry, I just came to get your girl up on game."

"Yea, yea playa.. let me walk you to the door, because we still got two weeks here and y'all got what y'all wanted."

"Aight, I'm out. But I'm just going to warn y'all this, Monroe ain't playing games no more. This is going to be back to my shit, I'm just being nice. Try to stop this, and neither you nor Nala will be so lucky next time." Those were Monroe's final words before leaving out of the room.

"What?!" I was right back heated, I tried to jump at him, I wish he would try to come at me again. But Chres grabbed me back as that snake left out of the room, I just couldn't control myself. "What the hell Chres how could you just let him threaten me like that?"

"CALM DOWN! CALM DOWN!" He continued yelling in my ear, "You don't want to mess with them, Nala."

"What?!" I asked turning my attention towards him, "These motherfucka's just came in here and threatened me and got us in danger now and you're sitting here IN MY FACE TELLING ME TO CALM DOWN! WHAT IS GOING ON?"

"I'm going to explain it okay, right now grab your bags and we out. This place not safe right now. Trust me, those men ain't no little street thugs on the come up. They was hot same time, my dad was hot... you think my daddy was just an alcoholic? You think he was just chilling and shit at the crib, naw he was caught up in the same b.s. they're on. That's what I'm trying to tell you, we can't do this on our own, South Central about to be hotter than ever with these drugs they just dug up... it's a wrap.
