Dinner was soon served everyone gathering around the table even Paul had come in but wasn't saying a word to anybody. Denise knew he just needed some space to think this through, he couldn't hold a grudge to Demi for long, they had always had a close relationship. Denise knew though how much it was hurting Demi, that he wouldn't even say one word to her. Kevin, Nick or Frankie didn't know they were going to be Uncles yet either but they would tell them in their own time probably once they knew that the baby was okay.

"Well I better do some washing up then." Denise stated everyone laughing as she got up from the table, Paul had already gotten up and left again.

"I'll help." Joe stated too following her into the kitchen. He missed having dinner and not having to cook it himself. He missed his mom's cooking, she used to make the best meals for him when he got home from school of a day. Denise filled the bowl up adding some washing up liquid.

"You want to dry or wash?" Denise inquired.

"I don't mind." Joe stated grabbing a towel beginning to dry some dishes up that had already been washed up while they were cooking.

"Usually I'd try and get one of the boys to wash up but it's not worth the fight." Denise complained. Joe could see in the small amount of time that he had spent here that the three boys were spoilt, mainly Nick. He wished he could have all that they had and actually thank his parents for what he had. He didn't recall them once saying thank you. Joe begun to dry up the dishes as Denise washed them, it took them just under an hour going at a steady pace not needing to rush. They got to know each other a little more too.

Joe was soon on his way upstairs to see how Demi was doing, he was told that she had gone upstairs to lay down for a little bit. He peered into her room seeing that she was only reading a book but he could tell that she had been crying and a couple of tears were still escaping her eyes, he knocked on the door gently making her look up from her book wiping her tears away.

"What's wrong?" Joe questioned as he entered the room closing the door behind him, Demi sighed closing her book sitting up on her bed.

"It may have slipped out that we're having a baby and my brothers weren't very happy about it," Demi mumbled Joe sighing as he made his way over sitting on the edge of the bed. "Nobody seems happy about our baby besides our moms, maybe it is just best that I do go have an abortion." Joe soon shushed her knowing that's not what she really wanted.

"I think we both know that's not what you want," Demi sighed nodding her head. "Just give them time to think over it because they will have to get used to the fact your having a baby because no matter what you say I'm not letting you have an abortion."

"Thanks Joe, it's easy for you being an only child." Demi giggled.

"Trust me it's not as easy as it looks." Joe grinned leaning down kissing her cheek gently.

"What was that for?" Demi questioned.

"Do I have to have a reason to kiss your cheek?" Joe questioned back a small smile playing on his lips obviously trying to tease her.

"Well no, I was just wondering." Demi replied the same smile on her face.

"I can do it again if I wish, watch," Joe taunted leaning down pecking her cheek. "And again." He went down to kiss her cheek again but Demi moved her face slightly making his lips press against hers. It surprised Joe but they both kept it going their eyes shutting the smile leaving their lips. They only pulled away when air was needed.

"What was that for?" Joe repeated.

"Do I need a reason for you to kiss my lips?" Demi smirked as Joe laughed leaning down kissing her again enjoying the feeling of her lips against his own.
