Episode 50

"Bath time, bath time, bath time!" Cai kept on repeating as he ran around the living room, Demi couldn't help but laugh as she was brushing through Kaia's hair but she rolled her eyes at her he brother but giggled when Demi leaned in kissing her nose. It was after dinner Demi having cooked them some homemade pizzas to make it healthier for them. They had told her that Joe usually bathed them after dinner so she had started to run the bath.

"Do you like bath time Cai?" Demi questioned.

"Yeah! Kaia does too!" Cai exclaimed letting her run the brush through his short hair too even though it didn't need brushing. "Daddy has a bigger bath than other daddy does!"

"Does he? Is it deep?" Demi spoke in her kiddie voice Cai nodding his head. "Let's go get in then!" Demi took both their hands leading them through into the bathroom helping them both undress. They were both potty trained and knew to tell an adult when they needed the toilet. Sometimes they still had accidents at night but they were pretty good to wake Joe in the night if they needed it. Demi also helped them climb into the bath where they both took a seat getting into the water. Demi threw a couple of toys in for them to play with as she sat down on the toilet seat after pulling it down admiring her two children playing together. It was within ten minutes that Kaia looked over at her mother asking her a question.

"Mommy come in?"

"I don't know baby girl, it doesn't look very big for all three of us.

"Daddy always does!"Cai demanded Demi laughing nodding her head gently.

"Okay I'll come in, make room." Demi begun to undress herself as the twins moved to one side of the bath so she could slide in. The water wasn't deep but deep enough for them as Demi begun to play with them. She was glad they seemed to like her.

Demi rushed out of the bath when she heard her phone ring drying her hand before grabbing it on the side, she saw that it was Joe before she answered the call holding it up against her ear. It sounded as if he was in the car which was weird because she remembered him saying he wouldn't be getting off work until eleven and it was six now.

"Hi Joe, is everything alright?" Demi inquired.

"Yeah it's fine, I've just had an accident at work and I have to go to hospital. Could you watch Cai and Kaia until I get back or have you got to be somewhere?" Joe inquired.

"No that's fine, I can look after them." Demi insisted wrapping a towel around herself her eyes on the twins to make sure they weren't getting into any trouble.

"Thanks, feel free to crash on my bed if you get tired. I have no idea what time I'll be back, we're on our way now." Joe stated.

"What happened?"

"Just an intern not walking correctly with a knife and tripped, I just need a couple of stitches." Joe explained Demi thankful that it wasn't something more serious. They said their goodbyes before they hung up as Joe reached the hospital. Demi got herself dried and dressed again back into her clothes before entering the bathroom again.

"Come on then if you want a story before bed." Demi encouraged holding up a towel, the twins groaned but got out the bath allowing their mom to wrap them up in a towel. She helped them dry themselves and changing having a pull up on in case they have an accident in the night.

"This story?" Cai questioned holding up a book Demi taking it from him.

"Okay get into bed then." She tucked the two of them in before sitting on the edge of the bed beginning to read from the book making sure she did the voices. She smiled as they fell asleep smiles on their own faces. She tucked them in, kissing their heads making sure the light was off and the door closed before relaxing on the couch having some time to herself.
