Joe spent as much time with Dianna as he could until he was told he would have to leave, he was thankful they let him in with visiting hours being over. He just needed comforting by his mother. It had calmed him down enough to go back to the house he would be staying in for a while, he felt kinda bad for walking out on Brandon and Carla but he just needed to calm down. He slipped his shoes off his feet before making his way into the kitchen.

"Joe are you okay?" Denise inquired Joe able to see her worried expression, he just nodded his head gently making his way over to the chopping board continuing to chop the onion Denise was chopping before she heard him walk in.

"Yeah Demi is just stressing me out so I went to see mom for a bit." Joe confessed.

"Don't let her stress you out Joe, she's just being Demi." Denise stated.

"She doesn't even know the babies are mine anymore." Joe mumbled Denise sighing watching as he slowly chopped the onion. She could tell that he had done cooking before with having to cook most of the time with his mother.

"I know Joe but don't worry about it, either way Demi has decided they will be going to this couple and if they aren't yours then you don't need to worry." Denise advised Joe nodding his head.

"I guess but if they are mine I plan to take them when I'm a little older and have a stable job." Joe decided Denise smiling.

"You'll make a great dad now Joe if you weren't schooling anyway."

"Thanks," Joe grinned. "But I don't know what I want to do for work anymore, I spoke to the guidance counsellor and she said I'm probably not smart enough to go into medical."

"I'm sure you can do anything you want to do if you put your mind to it but thinking on another scale what about doing what you're doing now?" Denise suggested.

"What cooking?" Joe questioned Denise nodding her head. "Being a chef? I never thought of that one, I guess I do like cooking."

"I have a friend who owns a restaurant, would you like me to speak to him and see if you can go see what it's like and maybe work in there of a weekend?" Denise questioned back Joe smiling nodding his head gently.

"That would be great, I don't need to be academic to do that. All I need is math and I'm good at math. I'll still try at school obviously." Joe decided.

"I'll see what I can do, make meatballs from the onion and the mince in the fridge, the herbs are on the shelf in the cupboard behind you." Joe nodded his head as she exited the room.

It wasn't that much longer that Demi entered the kitchen looking up at Joe as he decided to just ignore her for as long as he could. He didn't want to get worked up again after he had just calmed down after seeing his mother. Demi sighed making her way over to Joe standing next to him.

"I'm sorry Joe for everything, I do want us to at least to try and be friends. I decided to let Brandon and Carla take the twins when they are born if that's aright with you?"

"I might not even get the choice," Joe mumbled. "I can't be friend with you Demi, everytime I try and forgive you you do something that makes me feel hatred towards you again."

"I can't stop being me Joe." Demi urged.

"I know you can and I'm not asking you to, I'll be there for you throughout the pregnancy but I just can't be friends with someone who constantly lets me down." Joe stated.

"Fine whatever." Demi stormed out the room Joe rolling his eyes. He knew that he was maybe being a little harsh with her but he couldn't be let down again. He was finally able to be the teenager he should be and shouldn't have to worry about pleasing Demi just because she could be carrying his twins. She had let him down too many times for him to trust her again.
