Joe held onto Cai's hand as Demi held onto Kaia's, they were about to go visit Granny Dianna like Cai had requested. Joe had the news to share with her anyway and he hadn't visited since last weekend. He started to try and do it every Saturday but he had a day off today so he could see what was going to happen with Cai and Kaia. It would be a nice surprise for her. They wondered the corridors until they came to a door Joe knocking on it gently.

"Come in!" Dianna shouted Joe opening the door the twins letting go of their parents hands running in shouting her name. "What a lovely surprise!" Dianna cooed hugging her Grandchildren as they hugged her. She couldn't help but smile as she saw Demi being so close to Joe as they entered too. It was the first time she had seen the woman since she was a teenager. Maybe the odd time when Denise picked her up to go over to the house.

"Hey mom, how are you?" Joe questioned closing the door taking a seat on the couch with Demi, Dianna was laid on the bed the twins cuddling her sides. She could see the telly better from laid down on the bed.

"I'm good, I don't need to ask how you are. Your always fine," Dianna grinned. "How are you Demi? It's been a while."

"I'm good and yeah it has been a while." Demi laughed.

"We have some news though," Joe begun. "The twins will be staying with me, we got the all clear this morning." Dianna smiled kissing her Grandchildren's head, she knew she would be seeing much more of them then. Even if she did need some looking after she never wanted to stop it from seeing her family. She would love to see her son a little more but she knew he had his own life now, with a job and two beautiful children. It seemed as if he was getting along with Demi too, she always liked them together even what did happen when they were teenagers.

"That's great news!" Dianna exclaimed.

"Daddy painting our room when it home time." Cai revealed.

"Really? What colour is it going to be?" Joe and Demi couldn't help but groan making the little kids giggle next to their grandmother.

"You would not believe the hassle we had picking a colour." Joe complained Dianna laughing. Joe had learnt his lesson to not give his three year old son and daughter a choice.

Joe, Demi and the twins spent as much time with Dianna as possible until visiting hours were over leaving them no choice but to go home and get a head start on their bedroom. They wanted to get the first coat done today so they could do the rest at the weekend. Demi wanted to help even if she didn't live here, maybe when she got her own place they could have their own room at her place. They could sleep over all the time.

"I think we did enough painting earlier, how about you watch SpongeBob while me and mommy make a start on your room?" Joe suggested switching the TV on switching over to SpongeBob making sure that they were settled before entering the bedroom where Demi had already made a start on painting the walls white. She too had asked for the day off to be there for Joe, she thought they might have wanted to speak with her too. "I hope your artistic because I'm not." Demi laughed handing him a brush so he could begin.

"I think I could cope with what we're after, I presume they'll be sleeping the other room while we paint this?" Demi questioned.

"Yeah, don't want them inhaling too much of the fumes so we'll open the windows and shut the door until most of its gone." Joe explained.

"You're a good dad you know?" Demi stopped brushing looking over at her boyfriend who gave her a warm smile.

"You're not a bad mother yourself." Joe pecked her lips gently the two of them smiling as they pulled away from each other.
