Joe and Demi made it back to their apartment smiling when they saw Cai and Kaia running around the hallway Willa not too far behind them pretending that she was a monster. But they all soon stopped when they noticed that Joe and Demi were back. Joe held both Cai and Kaia as they jumped into his arms, Demi was too far along now to hold any of them.
"Is baby okay?" Kaia inquired both parents nodding their head gently.
"Your little sister is healthy." Demi grinned seeing the look on Kaia's face as she realised she was going to have a little sister rather than a brother. Cai just groaned burying his head into the nape of Joe's neck who kissed his head gently. They all sat down on the couch Willa making them some drinks while they had a family talk. Cai stayed on Joe's lap buried into his father.
"We know you wanted a little brother Cai but I'm sure your sister will be just as fun to play with, plus now us men will have to stick together so we're not rampaged by girls Ew!" Joe tried to cheer his son up, they could tell he tried to hold it back but he giggled against his father's chest making the parents smile. They knew he happy.
"How about when your sister comes you can give her a middle name?" Demi suggested giggling when Cai lifted his head up.
"Really?" He questioned Demi nodding her head.
"No fair!" Kaia pouted.
"When mommy and daddy have another baby you can give him or her their middle name." Demi stated kissing her head gently.
"Yay!" They both screamed getting up running into the kitchen to tell Willa that they would be giving the babies a middle name.
"There's gonna be more?" Joe teased wrapping his arm around her laying his other hand on her bump gently rubbing it hoping that his daughter would know that it's her father.
"Of course there is. You don't get a saying in the matter." Demi teased back leaning up kissing his lips gently, Joe smiled through the kiss as he kissed her back.
"I don't mind, I just didn't know whether you'd want anymore." Joe admitted.
"My mom had four, I always thought that was a good number." Demi shrugged her shoulders but had a smile on her face.
"You've slept together?!" Demi exclaims covering her mouth as the twins looked over at them not knowing what the word meant. "Carry on playing and ignore mommy." She spoke turning back to Joe and Willa who looked concerned after accidently slipping out the fact that she and Joe had a night together. Joe looked scared that Demi would leave him.
"Demi let us explain!" Joe pleaded but she shook her head getting up leaving the room into the bedroom they often shared together, Demi had basically moved in without making it official. Joe ran his fingers through his short black hair groaning. "Why did you have to say that!"
"Sorry it slipped out! Go after her, I'll just go and call you soon." They shared a quick hug before Willa left the apartment.
"Daddy why is mommy upset?" Cai questioned.
"It's nothing buddy, daddy just needs to speak with her," Joe reassured him before getting up making his way to the bedroom knocking on the door gently. "Demi it was just a one night thing when we weren't speaking..." Joe begun but Demi interrupted him.
"Joe I just want to be alone at the moment." Demi demanded Joe able to hear the harshness in her tone, he sighed nodding his head then hearing the doorbell echo through the apartment.
"I'm gonna get the door then we need to talk about this Demi, I don't want the twins to see us fighting," He urged walking away when he didn't hear a reply. He made his way to the door opening it his eyes widening slightly when he saw who was stood there. He might not have seen him in nearly twenty years but he recognised him from photos. "D-Dad?"
"Hey son." Patrick replied his eyes welling up with tears as he laid eyes on his son for the first time since he was two years old.
