Joe was allowed to take them to the park across the road alone, they had seen how he was with Cai and Kaia and knew that he would take special care of them because of the situation but Beth had spent a lot of time with Joe and knew that they had nothing to worry about. They played on the park for a bit before Joe brought them an ice cream now they were sat on a bench while they ate them before walking back home. He didn't want to keep them out for too long no matter how much fun he was having with his son and daughter.

"You're so messy Kaia!" Joe exclaims making the girl giggle but he grabbed a napkin wiping her mouth Kaia attempting to push his hand away making him chuckle.

"Daddy how old are you? Cai questioned.

"Twenty nearly twenty one." Joe answered throwing the napkin in the bin.

"That's old!" Kaia grinned making Joe fake gasp.

"Rude little girl! If you didn't have an ice cream in your hands you'd be on the floor and the tickle monster would be here!" Joe exclaimed again making the twins laugh as they all begun to lick their ice creams again. Joe had already finished his and ended up finishing Cai's because he was too slow and it was melting.

Joe let go of Cai and Kaia's hands as they entered the house the two of them running in already hearing them talking to their foster parents about what he had done. He slipped his shoes off then making his way into the kitchen where they all were listening to the three year olds, he was glad they seemed to have a good time with him.

"You weren't meant to tell them about the ice cream!" Joe joked making them giggle again.

"Daddy is even older than you mommy!" Cai spoke as he was lifted up by Mandy.

"It doesn't work that way Cai, the higher the number the older the person." Mandy replied kissing his head gently.

"Can I have a word?" Beth inquired Joe who nodded his head the two of them entering the living room where they both took a seat on the couch. "Brad and Mandy are happy for you to take the twins back home in a couple of days if it's okay with their social worker." A smile pulled at either side of Joe's lips, that's all he's wanted since the day he found out Demi was pregnant and three years later he could finally do it.

"Are they sure?" Joe questioned.

"Yes, they were only foster parents until they were old enough to go into a care home." Bethe explained Joe nodding his head gently.

"Okay then I'll take them if they want to obviously." He knew everyone back at home would be excited, his mother, Denise who he still spoke to a lot. He still got on well with Nick and knew he would enjoy seeing his niece and nephew. As for Demi he hadn't spoken to her in two years and didn't know if she had any intension of having anything to do with them. He could never stop her, he wasn't that kind of person but he wasn't going to chase after. He was just looking forward to being a father to his twins, he knew it was going to be hard but he would do it.

"I'll go give their social worker a call." Beth got up entering the hall so she could have private call. Joe leant back on the couch a wide smile on his face which only got wider when he saw Kaia run through Joe helping her up on the couch.

"Are me and Cai coming home with you?" Kaia questioned.

"If you want to, do you want to?" Joe answered adding in his own question.

"Yeah!" She squealed jumping on him. Joe laughed wrapping his arms around the little girl kissing her head gently. He had already fallen in love with them and couldn't wait to continue raising them into a successful man and woman. He would do everything he could from them even if he was starting three years into their lives.

The skip is three years by the way, forgot to mention that.
