Spencer's POV
Toby is still in his coma, and I'm not aloud to see him. His mum has made sure of that, he has 24 hr supervision.

I was sat staring at the clock in Mr Fitz classroom, the hand was rusted and chipped with age.
'Spencer' Aria tapped my shoulder.
'What?' I turned round to face her.
'What are you doing? Everyone's looking at you.' I spun round and looked at Fitz.
'Please can you repeat the question?' I was spacing, not concentrating at all.
'When was the blitz?' He signed and walked towards me.
'The 7th September 1940'
'Thank you Spencer as I was saying'
He voice trailed off into the distance as I looked out the window.

Toby was so close but he was so far away. I just wanted him to be here sitting two rows away from me, at least then I'd know he was ok. But he's not.

'What happened in there today?' Aria asked as we left school.
' I don't know, nothing's right anymore.'
'What are you talking about?'
'Nothing, I'm just mumbling to myself' I wasn't coping at all. And I normal do but Toby is everything to me.

I'd had enough, enough of waiting to see him but not being able to. I was going to see him even if it meant telling my parents about him, I would do anything and right now, no one would get in my way. I packed a bag put on my jacket and began sneaking down the stairs. My dad was in his study.
I placed my hand on the door knob.
'Spencer?'
'Damn' I put down my bag and walked to his study.
'Yeah'
'Where are you going?
'Just to Arias.' I looked at him.
'Ok, Melissa will run you' he looked at me as though I was transparent.
'It's only..'
'Melissa will run you!' He repeated more sternly.

Once we pulled up at Arias I got out the car.
'You can go now' I smiled
'I have to stay until your in the house, dads instructions.'
'this is pathetic, why would I lie?'
'You've done a lot of that recently Spencer.'
I slammed the door shut and walked to Arias front door.
Knock knock knock
'Hey, what are you doing here?'
'Hey , just let me in please' I tilted my head towards Melissa. And mimed a 'please' at Aria.
'Sure come in'
I looked back at Melissa and smiled.

The Montgomery house.

'Thanks for that, can I use your backdoor to sneak out, incase Melissa is still outside.' I began walking to back door.
'Woah, wait, what are you up to?' She stepped infront of me.
'I.. I'm just' I looked at her. My best friend and yet I was trying to lie to her. She knew me better than anyone.
'I'm going to see Toby Cavanaugh.'
'What?' She looked at me.
'We kissed in the rain and I think I am falling for him Aria, and I don't mean like my ex's. He's different and he might die.' I started crying.
'Come here' she grabbed me and hugged me. 'Wait!' She released her grip on me. 'You do know, he molested his sister, right?'
'He didn't, it was the other way around, you might not believe him. But please believe me.'
'I do believe you. So you going to see him?'
'I'm attempting to, but he's got 24hr supervision.'
'Who's looking after him now?' She questioned.
'Jenna, probably the hardest person to get past. He'd hate it if he knew she was watching him sleep.'
She picked up her phone and began dialling.
'What are you doing?' I looked at her
'Sssh....
Hi Jenna, it's Aria you left your book in the cafe this afternoon, I was wondering if you want to come and get it.'
I looked at her stunned.
'Yes, ok see you then.'
She hung up the phone.
'Well..'
'She's coming to get her book in 10mins, that gives you 20 minutes to talk to him and I'll distract her' she smiled at me.
'I love you Aria' I wrapped my arms round her. 'thank you so much'
'I love you too, now go!'
I grabbed my bag and quickly left through the back door.

I caught a cab to the hospital, just as I pulled up I saw Jenna leaving. I slowly walked past her. She scared me, even if she couldn't see. Once inside the hospital I had to get past the receptionist. She was like an eagle waiting for her prey. It looks like luck was on my side, they was swapping shifts, giving me 30 seconds to make it to the elevator. Trying not to cause a lot of attention, I waited for her to leave her chair then began walking to the elevator.
'5..4..3..' I was counting down in my head.
'2..' The door of the elevator was shutting.
'1.' The door shut behind me, just in time. I clicked floor 2 and looked in the mirror against the back wall of the elevator. I was going to see him. Maybe he was awake. Maybe everything was going to be ok.

I opened the door of 206. No one was there, not even Toby. I looked at the bed. The bedding was neatly folded and the pillows recently puffed.
'Miss can I help you?' A nurse came behind me.
'I'm looking for Toby Cavanaugh, do you know where I could find him?'
'He's in room 218 now.' She was clearly new to this job, giving away this information of a patient even if it is just a room number is still illegal, but I guess in this case it worked out well for me.
I opened the door of 218.
I ran over to the side of his bed.
'I don't have long. So what I'm about to say is something I should of said back to you, I guess I didn't say because I didn't know what I felt for you was real. But seeing you like this, knowing your so far away it made it clear, crystal clear. Toby, I really' I grabbed his hand.
'I really like you Toby. And I'm not ready to lose you, not again. You left me before but you came back so why can't you come back now.' I kissed his forehead.
I heard talking outside the room.
'Mrs Cavanaugh, I advise you think about this before doing anything you'll regret'
'It's up to me, I know when it's the right time to pull the plug'
She was planning on turn the life support of on her own son.
'Toby, it's now or never! You have to wake up. Tears ran down my face. I placed my head on the side on the bed. ' Toby, I lo'
I felt his grip tighten on my hand.
I looked up.
'Toby, Toby can you hear me' I gripped at his hand.

He opened his eyes.
