The sounds of clashing Duels had echoed across Academia for what felt like hours. In one of the outer courtyards, Bruno's team—joined by Yuto, Shark, Rio, and Kenzan—was still fighting their way through wave after wave of Parasite-controlled students.

But just as Yuto prepared to counter another Fusion Summon, every opponent suddenly froze. Their eyes dulled, their Duel Disks flickered—and one by one, they collapsed to the ground like lifeless dolls.

"What the...?" Rio breathed, lowering her Duel Disk cautiously. "Why did they just fall like that?"

Bruno rushed forward, scanning one of the unconscious students with his cybernetic visor. The readings flickered, stabilizing, then went flat. "Their brain patterns are returning to normal... but the Parasite energy is gone," he muttered, his eyes narrowing. "Someone must have defeated the Doctor—maybe even turned him into a card. That's why the Parasite Fusioners stopped working."

Shark folded his arms, glancing at the unconscious bodies. "So what, that means this nightmare's over?"

"Maybe," Bruno said, still uncertain. "But if the control network shut down like that, it wasn't voluntary. Someone cut it off at the source."

Before he could continue, footsteps echoed from the far hallway.

"Bruno! Rio! Everyone!" Johan shouted as Yuri and Asuka followed close behind, their Duel Disks still active.

Rio turned, surprised. "You guys! Are you okay?"

Johan nodded. "We're fine. What about you?"

"We were just attacked by another group of Parasite Duelists," Asuka explained, brushing dust from her uniform. "And... something else. There were people with black glasses—strong, coordinated—but they just... retreated all of a sudden. Almost like they were being pulled back."

Bruno frowned. "It's not just you. We saw the same pattern. Something big is happening in the Professor's chamber."

"Yuya's team..." Yuto said quietly, a sinking feeling forming in his gut.

The moment he said it, a violent tremor ran through the ground. The metallic tiles groaned and cracked beneath their feet.

"An earthquake?!" Kenzan barked, trying to keep his balance.

"Wait... this pressure... it's not natural," Bruno said, scanning the shaking air as his visor flared with warnings.

Then, without warning, Yuto let out a scream. "Aaahh!" He clutched his chest, collapsing to his knees.

"Yuto!" Rio yelled, rushing toward him—only to hear a second scream from the other side.

Yuri dropped beside him, clutching his Duel Disk arm, his veins glowing faintly violet.

"Yuri too?!" Asuka gasped, panic filling her voice.

"Both of them are linked to dragons..." Bruno realized aloud. "Dark Rebellion and Starve Venom—something's forcing a reaction through them!"

The two Duelists convulsed briefly before losing consciousness, collapsing completely.

"Yuto! Yuri!" Johan and Rio shouted together, kneeling beside them.
