When you arrived in Banff, Alberta, Pepper secured four rooms with one of her corporate credit cards under a dummy account name so that it couldn't be traced back to her. You had taken the time to kill everyone's SIM cards on their cell phones back in the jet, just in case the phone itself was being monitored and the cell phones were all turned off now. You had half a mind to put them all into a microwave but you didn't want to lose all your pictures you had taken.

It was much colder here than it was in Malibu, so that meant more shopping for warmer clothes, only using cash instead. On the way to the hotel you were staying at, you all withdrew as much cash as possible, then you used Peppers computer to hack into the bank's records to scrub the location to something generic in Malibu instead. It certainly wasn't legal, but it was something to cover your tracks. You made sure to scrub any hint that you were in their records before giving Pepper back her computer with strict instructions to keep the VPN on Malibu only. For all intents and purposes, you wanted Hydra to believe that you were still there.
You knew your family wouldn't be there yet, because you had taken a jet and they would either be driving or taking a plane. The four of you went for less flashy clothes at the closest outlet mall, getting sunglasses and baseball caps to stay incognito. Happy looked uncomfortable being dressed down, and so did Pepper. You figured it was because they had been dressing up for so long, that they had forgotten comfort clothes were also very important to a wardrobe.
"How do you want to do this?" Pepper asked over supper that night. You were exhausted and only knew that you would have to try using your laptop, but it sadly still had that four hour lock on it, and you only had two hours left for today.
"Keep a low profile of course, and go every morning to the national park and wait at the entrance until it closes and wait" you shrugged, as though that was the most logical solution.
"Yes, but how do we get a hold of the team?" Jillian whispered.
"I sent Tony the message, he'll know. It's not like we can drop our location without letting Hydra know it too" you grumbled.
"What about Steve?" Happy asked you, looking honestly concerned.
"I have to rely on Tony" you frowned. "I'll send a second message to give to Steve," you decided. "I'll do that when we go back to our hotel" you gave a sigh. You knew the fast food was likely bad for the baby, but you had to make sure the money went far. You didn't know how long you'd be waiting, or if you'd be captured. Living with this much anxiety was foreign. When you were a kid, you already knew how to hide your ability before going to school. You were trained on it from your earliest memories. You hoped your brother was able to wrangle up the entire family, it was small, but you knew it was important that you all stayed together. Your guts seemed to twist on the inside. You didn't like this kind of unknown. You should have gone home and protected them from the house. But you also have a responsibility to the little lives inside of you as well. All three of them would be in danger if you didn't act responsibly, and so would the three people looking to you for answers. You were trying to be strong, but what you wouldn't give for a moment to be curled up with Steve and to feel safe again.
You finished up at the fast food restaurant and headed back to go your separate ways for the night. You went into your room and closed and locked the door before grabbing your laptop. You changed the VPN to Malibu and logged in. Friday was still processing the data like you trained it, but there was no word from Tony yet. You turned the camera on and sent a video message.
"Tony, we made it safe. I don't know about the others yet, but we are here. Can you please tell Steve..." you paused to compose yourself. "That I miss him. I miss him so much, and I'm so scared. I just need him here" you said as you broke down crying. "I'm trying to be strong like him, but I can't. I need my family safe, and I don't even know where they are. What if's are going through my mind over and over again. It's a never ending cycle and I can't get out of my head. I just..." you stopped recording because you were crying so hard. You meant to delete the footage but it was already sent. "Shit" you grumbled to yourself. You went to unsend the message, but your four hour window timed out. "Fuck!" you cried out and just started crying to alleviate your pain. You sobbed until you fell asleep, and when you woke up it was to an empty room and a foreboding feeling.
