(Um so this story is pretty old and was made in my notes like a year ago.... I just never posted it. I just fixed the grammar a bit and like THIS IS SO CRINGE SO PLEASE DONT MENTION IT)

No one's POV:

The castle was silent and cold. Everyone was fast asleep... well expect for a peculiar someone.

Killer was wide awake in his room, staring at the ceiling. He couldn't sleep, he physically just couldn't. His mind wouldn't shut the hell up for once... it wouldn't leave him alone. His thoughts yelled and pounded and wouldn't fall asleep. He closed his eyes, keeping them closed for what seemed like an eternity. It was only for 2 minutes, and it felt like 20 for him.

He opened his eyes again and looked at the digital clock on his nightstand. It was 1:35am. He huffed, his body suddenly feeling uncomfortable and every little thing felt unnatural, keeping him more awake. He needed sleep, he desperately wanted sleep! He rolled around in his bed a couple of times before grudgingly forcing himself up. He groaned in visible frustration as he grabbed his phone.

He opened UnderNet and started to just scroll. He was mindlessly scrolling for a bit, hoping to get tired. He would sometimes feel a bit sleepy, but it would end up in him waking up or not being able to sleep once he puts his phone done. As he continued to scroll, he glanced at the time on the corner of his screen. It was 2am now.

Nightmare's POV:

The atmosphere felt... different. It has been for a couple of days though, only during the night. I can sense one of my subordinates aren't sleeping, but it's strange on why. Non of them had a history of a bad sleep schedule (or that I know of) and I haven't caught any of them being awake this late in years.

That was no problem though. My work could wait... and I had a little trick up my sleeve to make them sleep for hours every night.

A placed my pen down on the desk and sighed. I closed my eye, focusing my energy into whoever was having trouble sleeping. Finally, I sensed it was Killer. He always did have a problem sleeping, but he never actually stayed up. That wasn't a problem though and he would be easy to put to sleep.

I stood up from my seat and brushed off the coat I was wearing. I teleported into the darkest part of Killer's room, stalking him. He was just sitting there on his phone, seeming exhausted, but not tired.

No one's POV:

Nightmare continued to watch Killer closer. He saw how tense he was, how his mind was tuning with thoughts and overwhelming ideas, how he seemed to be cold. His tendrils twitched slightly, gracefully going down to the floor and slithering over to Killer. Killer was oblivious to Nightmare's presence as he simply yawned and laid down.

He soon felt a wet, squishy, and warm sensation wrap around his ankle. He sat up again in surprise before looking down at his foot, seeing this tendril like thing wrapped around it. His mind went into panic mode until he quickly realized something, this was Nightmare.

"...B-boss? Do you need something...?"

Killer softly whispered that as he was genuinely scared. He heard Nightmare chuckled softly, and that made Killer tense even more. The tendril around his ankle gently rubbed against it before slithering over to his other ankle and wrapping around that as well. The action was surprisingly gentle and soothing, warming Killer's soul a bit.

Nightmare stepped out of the shadow he was hiding in, smiling warmly at Killer. Killer was very confused, Nightmare doesn't usually act this... calm and careful.

"I'm surprised you didn't attack me. Good, it means you have self-control."

Nightmare approached Killer, letting his tendril subtly continue to wrap around Killer's legs.
