They say when you fall in love you remember every detail of that moment and they're not talking about the clothes you wore, how you had your hair, or the things that were said. They're talking about what you felt in that moment. The excitement of butterflies in your stomach, the nerves taking over your body, and the sudden anxiety of realizing you have no control over this feeling. That's what Liam felt the moment he saw Y/N walking through Scott's front door the evening of his first pack meeting nearly a month ago.

Once he learned Y/N was Scott's little sister, everything changed. Liam had just joined Scott's pack and he didn't want to start off on the wrong foot with his alpha, but as the days went by his feelings towards Scott's little sister became stronger. He couldn't ignore it. The heart wants what the heart wants.

So here he was in front of Scott's house, ready to do something about his feelings towards Y/N. Liam took a deep breath before knocking on the wooden door three times.

"Hey!" Scott chirped as he opened the front door. "What are you doing here?"

"Umm..." Liam slid his hands in his pockets. "Is your sister home?"

Scott raised an eyebrow and then shook his head. "She needed help with her homework, so she went to Lydia's."

"Okay, good." Liam's shoulders relaxed. "I actually need to talk to you before the pack meeting. Can I come in?"

"Of course!" Scott closed the door after Liam walked into the house and headed towards the kitchen. "Do you want something to drink?"

"Sure."

Scott handed Liam a blue Gatorade from the refrigerator. Liam twisted the cap off and began chugging it. Before Scott could take a sip of his Gatorade, Liam placed the empty bottle on top of the counter. Scott put his drink down and raised an eyebrow at Liam. "Are you okay?"

"Yes." Liam looked down at his Gatorade bottle cap and began to fiddle with it anxiously.

"Liar." Scott took away the cap from Liam. "What's going on?"

"I need some advice."

"Okay," Scott pulled out the small stool and sat across from Liam. "Shoot."

Liam still avoided making eye contact with Scott and began pacing in front of him. "So I kind of..." Liam shook his head. "No, I really like this girl-"

"My sister."

Liam froze in place and immediately looked at Scott. He wondered how Scott knew when he never told anyone about his feelings for Y/N, not even Mason. Scott sensed Liam's curiosity and answered. "You're heartbeat goes crazy every time she walks into the room, when she's near you, when she hugs you, and talks to you." Scott pulled out the stool next to him, signaling Liam to sit down. As soon as Liam sat down, Scott continued, "you were saying?"

"Right. I really like your sister and I wanted to see how you felt about that."

"Why? It doesn't matter what I think."

"Yes it does," Liam said with honestly. "You're the most important guy in her life and you're my alpha. If you don't approve for some reason, as her brother or as my alpha, I would respect that."

"I swear sometimes I think you're wise beyond your years," Scott smiled. "I'm totally okay with you liking my sister. I don't have a problem with it."

Liam nodded his head, but Scott could tell there was more. Liam began to tap his fingers against the counter top, "I was wondering if you could give me some advice to ask her out...." Liam looked back down at his fingers. "Since I've never really asked a girl out before."
