Warnings: Being in a unhealthy relationship
From the corner of my eyes, I can see Liam's knuckles turning white as he tightens his grip on the steering wheel, and his jaw clenching tight as his eyes focused on the road in front of him. He was mad, but I was just as mad too, maybe even more mad. It's the same stupid shit and I'm getting tired of fighting over the same thing, Liam's jealousy.
As Liam slammed his foot on the breaks to our apartment complex, I immediately hopped out of the car and slammed the door, showing Liam I'm just as mad as he is. I walked past him and pulled out my keys from my purse. I struggled opening the door and Liam's hand made it's way towards mine. "Don't!" I hissed. "I got it."
"It doesn't seem like it," Liam whispered bitterly, but I heard every word clearly.
"Fine!" I snapped back and moved away from the door. Liam effortless opened the door and let himself in first instead of me. I followed him and slammed the door behind me. I threw my purse on the couch, getting ready for our usual yelling match that always follows after this particular fight. I crossed my arms to my chest as Liam pulled out a cold beer from the fridge and almost chugged the entire bottle.
"Well?" I tapped my foot against the wooden floor.
"Well what?" He spat. His tone almost sounded clueless, but I knew he was just pretending and avoiding the giant elephant in the room.
"Want to explain what happened tonight?"
"He was hitting on you!" He ran his hand through his hair, frustrated. "What more is there to explain?"
My eyes narrowed. "Are you kidding me?!" I threw my arms in the air. "You didn't need to punch the guy and get yourself kicked out of another bar, Liam!"
"He deserved it!" His fist slammed against the kitchen counter top, the force causing the counter top to crack. "He shouldn't have flirted with my girl!"
"He wasn't even flirting with me!" I yelled back, trying to match his voice. "He was just asking what time it was!"
"He might have been trying to get into your pants!"
Anger washed over every inch of my body, making my eyes see red. I balled my hands into tight fists by my sides, trying to control myself, but it didn't work. Liam didn't trust me. It's almost as if he believed I would actually ruin a three year relationship with a random guy from the bar. I wasn't that kind of girl. I loved Liam. I have always been faithful and loyal to him. I just wished he knew that, but it seemed like no matter how many times I remind him after the same fight, he seems to forget.
I turned around and grabbed the vase. I threw it across the room, the glass instantly shattering into pieces after hitting the wall closest to Liam, who ducked behind the kitchen counter.
"What the hell, Y/N?!" Liam got up from behind the counter with his eyes wide.
"Do you really think that low of me?! That I would actually and so easily sleep with some guy I just met at a bar?!" I screamed. I didn't care if the neighbors heard us. They're probably used to our fights by now.
