Warning: Feeling useless (Not sure if this a trigger for some people, but just in case.)
Liam and I were having another spat. I'll admit this time it's my fault... again. However, I can't help but feel jealous about Hayden. Ever since she became a chimera and asked Liam to help her, I turned a little green with envy. They were constantly together, attended pack meetings together, and he's even cancelled several dates because of something supernatural related. I'm always the one left out and never included in Liam's supernatural world.
I get why Liam doesn't involve me in his supernatural life. I'm not like him. I'm just a regular clumsy girl with no super strength or powers. He only keeps me away from his supernatural world to protect me, so he says. But how is keeping me away protecting me? I worry about him every night he's out. Terrible scenarios run though my mind every time I notice he's not in class and skipped school for whatever reason.
The constant worry of about Liam's life, Liam shutting me out, and with Hayden in the picture, I couldn't help the horrible feeling of Liam leaving me for Hayden. They not only have so much in common, but they belong in the same world. A world I'll never be a part of.
Except tonight, I refuse to be left out, whether Liam likes it or not.
Earlier today, I overheard Scott, Stiles, Lydia, and Liam at the library talking about trying to get the lacrosse charity game cancelled tonight because of the Beast. I wasn't some helpless person. I wasn't going to sit at home and hope nothing bad happens to Liam or any of his friends. I was going to help in any way I could.
"Y/N?!" Liam's voice was evident with anger as he walked up to me. "What are you doing here? I thought I told you to stay home tonight." Liam grabbed my elbow and pulled me aside, letting students and fans climb up the stairs and make their way to their seats in the stands.
I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms to my chest. "Like I would miss my boyfriend's game."
"Y/N, you shouldn't have come. It's not safe!" Liam whispered-yelled at me, hoping none of the people walking up the stairs behind me would hear him.
"I don't-"
"Hey, Liam?" Hayden interrupted. My eyes narrowed at her, wishing my eyes were laser eyes. Why in the hell would she interrupt when she could obviously see I'm in the middle of a conversation with my boyfriend?
"Can I talk to you for a minute?" She asked, her eyes never once leaving him. It's like she was purposely ignoring me.
"Hayden, can't you-"
Liam cut me off. "Y/N. Go home," Liam instructed, making my eyes widen in shock. "I don't want you here."
His words caused a pang of pain to my heart. He had never spoken to me like this before. The horrible feeling of him leaving me grew as he pulled Hayden aside and asked her what was wrong. At that moment, I wished I were a werewolf with incredible hearing.
Choosing to make Liam even more mad for hurting me with his harsh words, I turned around and made my way up the bleachers. I couldn't find any of his friends. Scott, Stiles, and Kira were on the field. Malia and Mason was no were to be found. I spotted Theo and smirked, knowing how crazy it would make Liam to see me sitting next to him.
"Is this seat taken?" I asked.
"Not at all, Princess," he smirked that devilish smile, patting the empty seat next to him.
I looked back at Liam, who was looking in my direction. He looked pissed and I knew my plan had worked. Before I could say something to Theo, Liam bolted towards our direction. His jaw was clenched tight, his hands were rolled into tight fists, and his blue eyes were flickering between an electric yellow. I knew I had gone too far.
