Liam's POV

"Where's Y/N?" I yelled over the loud music.

"At the bar!" Mason yelled back, pointing in the direction where she was. "With Lucas!"

I narrowed my eyes at the sight in front of me. Her head was rolled back, laughing, as her hand grazed his arm. Lucas had a smug smile on his face that I wanted to wipe away with my fist. I tried to focus on their conversation, but the music was too loud.

"Dude!" Mason tugged on my shoulder, turning me around to face him. "Your eyes are glowing!"

I immediately closed my eyes, trying to get them back to normal, but I knew I couldn't. I was just hoping no one else noticed my glowing eyes.

"Jealous are we?" I heard the smirk in Mason's tone.

"No!" I rubbed my eyes before looking at Mason, asking if they were back to their normal shade of blue before Y/N would notice and ask what's wrong. Mason shook his head, earning a low frustrated growl from me. "Damn it."

"Better hurry because she's coming this way." Mason warned me.

"Hey!" The warmth of Y/N's hand on my shoulder burned through the fabric of my leather jacket and sent a shiver down my spine, instantly calming me down. "I'm going to hang out with Lucas in the VIP."

"What?!" My eyes snapped open as I turned around to face Y/N. "Why?"

Y/N noticed a hint of annoyance in my voice. She furrowed her eyebrows, wondering what was wrong with me. "Because he invited me."

"Well I don't think you should go!" I folded my arms tightly to my chest.

"I wasn't asking you, Dunbar!" Y/N yelled back with an edge to her tone. "I'm telling you."

"Mason!" I turned around to my best friend, who was dancing and surrendering his hands up, refusing to be a part of this fight. "I'm going to go dance with Brett!" He moved his way towards Brett across the club.

"Traitor," I mumbled under my breath.

"I'll meet you later," Y/N turned around and started walking towards Lucas, only to be stopped with my hand on her wrist. She looked down at my hand before looking back at me. "What are you doing?"

I nervously bit my bottom lip. "I just have a bad feeling!" I yelled, making a couple of people close by turn their heads at us. I pulled her in and spoke against her ear. "Given everything that's going on, we don't know him. It's dangerous."

Y/N pulled back, rolling her eyes. "I can take care of myself, Dunbar. I'm just like you, remember?" She patted my chest, turned around, and walked towards Lucas.

"No. I didn't catch anything," Brett told me after I asked if he smelled a supernatural creature in the club.

I looked around the club with Brett beside me. My eyes scanned every person under the neon lights. It was hard to tell who could be a supernatural with the terrible lighting, the smoke, and loud music, but I had to ask for a second opinion just in case I was missing something. "No one else here is like us?" I asked Brett.

"I don't know, dude. Maybe." Brett's voice sounded unsure as he looked around the club. "It's Beacon Hills. What's the difference?"

"It feels different." I snapped back.

"What do you mean?" Brett asked, suddenly worried.

"Something feels off," I turned in the opposite direction from Brett. "It feels wrong." I looked at the beaded curtain that hid the private VIP rooms and the terrible gut feeling I had in the pit of my stomach grew.
