The next morning, the booklist had arrived from Hogwarts. Harry rushed over when he got his, he was made Quidditch Team Captain, and it was quite the surprise to him.

"That gives you equal status with prefects!" cried Hermione happily. "You can use our special bathrooms now and everything!"

"I remember when Charlie wore one of these," said Ron, examining the badge with glee.

"Harry, this is so cool, you're my Captain, if you let me back on the team," I said.

"Well, I don't suppose we can put off a trip to Diagon Alley much longer now you've got these," sighed Mrs. Weasley, looking down Ron's booklist. "We'll go on Saturday so Percy can come with us, more numbers in case..."

"Mum, d'you honestly think You-Know-Who is going to be hiding behind a bookshelf in Flourish and Blotts?" sniggered Ron.

"Fortescue and Ollivander went on holiday, did they?" said Mrs. Weasley, fired up at once. "If you think security's a laughing matter you can stay behind and I'll get your things myself-"

"No, I wanna come, I want to see the twin's shop!" said Ron hastily.

"Then you just buck up your ideas, young man, before I decide you're too immature to come with us!" said Mrs. Weasley, snatching up her clock, all eight hands of which were still pointing at "mortal peril," and balancing on a pile of just-laundered towels. "And that goes for returning to Hogwarts as well!"

"Blimey," said Ron, staring at Harry as his mother hoisted the laundry basket and the teetering clock into her arms and stormed out of the room. "You can't even make a joke around here anymore...."

Ron was careful not to be flippant about Voldemort over the next few days. Saturday dawned without any more outburst from Mrs. Weasley, though she seemed very tense at Breakfast. I hadn't seen Fred since the night of my birthday, since Hogwarts students were flocking to Diagon Alley for their school supplies, business was booming so he hadn't gotten the chance to get away. Bill, who would be staying home with Fleur (much to Hermione, Ginny and my pleasure), passed two full money bags across the table, one to Harry(who came over with Sirius to come with us instead of meeting us there) and one to me.

"Where's mine?" asked Ron, his eyes wide.

"That's already theirs, idiot, said Bill. "I got it out of your vaults for you, it's taking bout five hours for the public to get their gold at the moment, and the goblins have security tight. Two days ago, Arkie Philpott had a Probity Probe stuck up his... Well, trust me, this way is easier."

"Thanks, Bill," said Harry and I.

It was an overcast, murky day. A special Ministry of Magic car was awaiting us in the front yard when we emerged from the house, pulling on our cloaks.

"It's great of you to get us these, Percy," said Ron approbatively as the car moved smoothly away from the Burrow, Bill and Fleur waving at us from the kitchen window. Ron, Harry, Ginny, Hermione and I were all sitting in roomy comfort in the wide backseat.

"Don't get used to it, it's only because of Harry," said Percy over his shoulder. He, Mrs. Weasley and Sirius were in the front seat with the Ministry Driver.

"He's been given top-grade security status," said Sirius.

"And we will be joining up with additional security at the Leaky Cauldron, too," added Percy.

I could tell Harry didn't want to do his shopping while surrounded by a bunch of Aurors. I glanced at his backpack, wondering if he remembered to grab his Invisibility Cloak.
