"Lily! Lily?" said a voice as I walked quickly down the hall I turned to see the beautiful red head, Ginny, running down the hall. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah," I said in a shaky voice.

"Harry told me you followed Malfoy," whispered Ginny, grabbing my hand and leading me in the opposite direction.

"What are you do-- where are we going?" I asked. I didn't learn anything I didn't know from the books but I was seriously freaked out after watching him work. He seemed so deadly. Not in a he-was-going-to-kill-me way, but in the he-looks-as-if-he-is-dying-on-the-inside. It was hard to watch him, to see that this task was stripping away the human inside.

"Harry is in the Hospital Wing," Ginny explained.

"Hmm," I said, forgetting that Harry was going to get hit by McLaggen during the match for a moment. "McLaggen?"

"Yep," said Ginny as we approached the Hospital Wing. "Sirius is in there with him, along with Ron, of course, and Hermione."

I rushed in, smiling as I saw a familiar shaggy head. Sirius looked up and smiled, but it did not reach his eyes.

"Hello, Lily Elizabeth," sighed Sirius. "Busy were you?"

"You know me," I smiled. "How is our boy?" Harry rested in the hospital bed next to Ron's with his head in a bandage.

"Fractured skull," said Madam Pomfrey. "Nothing to worry about, I mended it at once, but I just want to keep him overnight."

"But he will be okay?" I asked, looking down at his peaceful face. I felt myself inwardly cringe. Stupid brother.

"He will be just fine, don't worry dear," said Madam Pomfrey.

...

Malfoy was shaking. "I have to do it, he will make me."

I looked upon him with a gaze filled to the brim of sadness.

"And that proves it, doesn't it?" asked Malloy. "You, not responding. You know it's too late for me."

"It's never too late," I whispered. "But some things have to be done."

I blinked and opened my eyes. Hermione was standing over me.

"Lily? Lily?" she whispered. "Are you okay?"

I looked around, my body shaking. I was back in the dorm, safe and sound. It was just a bizarre dream, a bad dream.

"Yeah, yeah," I smiled weakly. "Sorry if I was making a ruckus, just a nightmare."

"What happened?" asked Hermione.

"It was.." I sighed, thinking back on how helpless he was. I swallowed. "I don't remember," I lied.

She looked at me knowingly, "Harry has nightmares, too."

"Yeah?" I asked, leaning back down into my bed, closing my eyes and rubbing my forehead.

"Yeah, and he never tells us what they are always about, either," she prodded on. There was a silence as she waited for me to answer.

"Okay, well, Harry had me follow Dr--Malfoy today during the game," I told her. She gave me a disapproving look. "And I did but didn't really find new information."

"Lily, you have to understand that you are in just as much danger as Harry is," Hermione whispered to me, a serious expression etched on her face. I gulped. Maybe I wasn't being the smartest. I had brains. I needed to use them.
