Harry POV

As I saw Leanne grab the package, I felt something in my stomach drop. Lily dropped the package as if it burned her, but seconds after that, Lily rose into the air. It wasn't like Ron was this morning, but gracefully, her arms outstretched as if she were about to fly. There was something wrong, something eerie about her. I stood frozen, as did Ron and Hermione next to me. Her hair whipped around her face from the strong wind, but her eyes were closed and face quite empty of expression. Katie fainted and Leanne just stood, watching.

Then, six feet above the ground, my sister let out a scream, a one just like when she was at the Ministry. Her eyes flew open, the green seemed to be glowing. Whatever she could see or was feeling was clearly causing her terrible pain. I was snapped out of my trance. Leanne screamed too, stepping over Katie's body and reached at Lily's ankles, trying to pull her back.

Hermione, Ron and I rushed forward to help. Lily fell, but Ron and I were able to catch her. She was writhing so much we could hardly hold her. We set her on the ground, where she thrashed and screamed, apparently not recognizing any of us.

"Lily?" Hermione said, putting her hands on Lily's face to try to get Lily to focus.

"Stay there!" I shouted at everyone over the howling wind. "I'm going for help!"

I began to sprint towards the school, I felt like I was going so fast I was flying. Lily's scream echoed in my ear. I hurtled around a bend in the lane and collided with what seemed to be an enormous bear on it's hind legs.

"Hagrid!" I panted, backing up.

"Harry!" said Hagrid, who had sleet trapped in his eyebrows and beard. "Jus' bin visitin' Grawp--"

"Hagrid, Lily has been hurt, cursed or something!" I told him.

"Wha'?" said Hagrid, bending lower.

"Lily's been cursed!" I bellowed, turning to lead him to her. Together we ran back along the lane. It took us no time to find the little group of people around Lily, who was still writhing and screaming on the ground. Ron, Hermione and Leanne were still trying to quiet her. Ketie Bell still lay passed out on the ground.

"Get back!" shouted Hagrid. "Lemme see her!"

"Something's happened to her!" sobbed Hermione.

"I don't know what!" said Leanne, who seemed to just notice Katie Bell and bent down to drag her friend away.

Hagrid stared at Lily for a second, then without a word, bent down, scooped her into his arms and ran off toward the castle with her. Within seconds, Lily's screams died away and left only the sound of the wind.

Hermione hurried over to Katie Bell and her friend, moving to sit Katie Bell up. "Help me, she needs to go to the Hospital Wing!" Hermione said. Ron went over and scooped Katie up in his arms as Hermione checked Katie's vitals. "There is a plus, she's still alive!"

"Oh thank god!" said Leanne, crying harder.

Hermione and I moved in on the girl.

"Leanne, isn't it?" Hermione asked her. Leanne nodded.

"Did it just happen all of a sudden or--?" I asked, feeling tears falling down my face.

"It was when the package tore," sobbed Leanne, pointing at the now sodden brown paper on the ground, which now split open to reveal a greenish glitter.
