The night of Ron's attack, Harry was bombarded by McLaggen in the common room, right after I had left, looking to replace Ron on the team. Seeing how Harry had no one else, he had to allow McLaggen on the team.

"He's horrible," Harry was ranting to me. "He acts as if he is in charge, ordering round the others in practice and doing my jobs, just watch, the match tomorrow is going to be the death of me..."

I smiled and nodded, Harry gave me a second glance.

"Are you okay, you haven't been going to meals and you seem... different," Harry noted. I shrugged. He kept staring at me.

"I just, the war and I'm..." I trailed off, looking away. I had been losing sleep, the daunting task in front of me was burning me alive.

"Hey, we are going to be okay," Harry said comfortingly, smiling at me. I nodded and got up, thinking fast.

"I'm going to go clean up in my room a bit," I said, walking to the dorm. When I got into the room, it was fortunately empty. I threw open my trunk and began to empty the contents, searching for a certain pair of socks. I sighed as I found them, bark blue, a darker tone then they were before they began to be used to house a Horcrux.

I pulled out the locket, examining it with care, how was I going to make the next book easier for Harry? I couldn't show him the locket now, otherwise it would alter Dumbledore's death. I sat on my bed, spinning the locket's chain, thus turning the locket. Hermione suddenly came into the room.

"Hey, Lily," she said, eyeing the locket before lying back on her bed. "Why is your stuff everywhere?" she asked as I stuffed the locket back into the socks.

"I was looking for a shirt, I must have left it at Grimmauld," I lied.

Hermione nodded, before grabbing Crookshanks and stroking his hair. Hermione was having a rough time with Ron, and seemed to be figuring out her feelings for him.

I began plotting. I could speak the language of snakes, for an unknown reason. I could easily head to the Chamber of Secrets and grab the teeth Harry and the trio needed to destroy the horcruxes they found... but where would I put them? I began packing my stuff as I thought.

-The Cup of Hufflepuff, destroyed by Hermione Granger in the Chamber of Secrets with use of a Basilisk Fang.

-Slytherin's locket, destroyed by Ron Weasley in the Forest of Dean with the Sword of Gryffindor

-Ravenclaw's Diadem, destroyed unintentionally by Crabbe with use of FiendFyre in the Room of requirement.

-The Snake, destroyed by Neville Longbottom with the Gryffindor sword.

The Cup was currently in the Lestrange vault, there was nothing I could do about that now. Maybe, if I left some fangs near the Diadem in the Room of Requirement, I could save Harry a trip to the Chamber of Secrets and we could destroy both the cup and the diadem right there.

The locket, on the other hand was more tricky for me to plan for. I could just happen to find it when we are looking around for the locket at Grimmauld. It would save a trip to the Ministry. For that, Snape would provide the means of destroying the nasty thing.

My mind turned to Harry, I couldn't accompany him to the forest where Voldemort kills him, he would have to face that alone. But, he wasn't really alone, seeing as he would have his mum and dad with him due to the resurrection stone.

Our mum and dad, I reminded myself. Sometimes, I just felt like Lily and James Potter were just made up, fictional people. Even though I knew they weren't, I couldn't force them to be real to me.
