~Ashton~
I woke up early the next morning, the house quiet as usual. Dragging myself out of bed, I went downstairs. Mike was actually up, so were Luke and Calum. Cal was sitting on the couch while Mike an Luke were making eggs...in a blender. "Really guys?" They turned to me, shrugging slightly. "Cal, you're just watching?" "What can I do?" I rolled my eyes slightly. Walking over to them, I showed Luke and mike the RIGHT way to cook them, ending up making everybody breakfast. We all ate with each other, cal doing dishes once they finished. I put my plate in the sink as somebody knocked on the door. Trying to fix my hair, I answered the person knocking, only to find a short girl with red hair and a mask standing in front of me. "Hello, are you Ashton?" She had an Australian accent, a bit like mine. "Uh, yeah?" I stepped outside, closing the door. "This is yours I believe." The girl handed me a book with the words The Fault In Our Stars on the front. "Oh yeah, thanks." "No problem." Exchanging goodbyes, the girl ran off into the woods. I went back inside, going straight up to my room. Normally, I wouldn't even pick up a book, but since Korosu said it was good, I started reading immediately. Cal walked by my room as I was getting towards the climax, and seemed confused. "Ash, whatcha doing?" I looked up for a second, holding my place. "Oh, Korosu told me this was a good book, so I'm reading it." He nodded, walking off. Maybe I should call Korosu. I'll tell her I like it. Smiling, I took out my phone, calling her. Strangely, it went to voicemail. Maybe she's busy. I texted her 'are you busy?' She didn't respond, so I went with that. Halfway through with the book, I marked my place and walked out. Going on a walk seemed like a good idea, so I did. Heading down the road, there weren't any screams and the wires weren't sparking at all. The woods weren't filled with noise, it seemed really quiet. I'm pretty worried about Korosu, she's usually out killing or at her apartment. I know she can take care of herself, but I'm still concerned. That's it, I'm calling her again. Taking out my phone, I waited for her to pick up. It went to voicemail again, and I groaned. "What's going on?" Gunshots came from the woods, a smile finding its way across my face. Shaking my head slightly, I tried to stop, however it stayed. Maybe somebody in the woods knows where she is. I walked into the forest, hands in my pockets. As I went further into the woods, two voices were heard. "So I'll go through the window..." "wife's mine..." I stopped, looking ahead. Two people were talking, heading my way. One was the girl from before, an axe in her hands. The other was a tall male, probably my age. He had natural red hair, two holsters on his jeans. Who are these people? Are they killers as well?
~Silencers POV~
Zach walked by my side, discussing our murder plans. I heard rustling, along with footsteps. "Zach..." looking up, I saw Ashton up ahead. He saw us as well, staying silent. Zach looked up, his hands going straight for his pistols. Once he moved his hand, Ashton grabbed his back pocket from what I saw. "Calm down Zach, that's Ashton, her boyfriend." I whispered as he nodded, slowly lowering his hands. "Sorry Ashton. I'm Zach." We walked closer as he lowered his hand. "Hi." "I'm silencer. We work with Korosu. Whatcha doing here?" He seemed curious about something, I'm not sure what. "Oh, just walking around. What do you mean by "work with Korosu"?" I was twirling my axe, mouthguard covering my mouth. "We kill with her. Currently I'm on a mission with Zach though." The orders from slender were vague, however I remember them well.
"Don't waste time, kill the Peterson's fast."
"Missions?" Wait, wouldn't he know about them since that's what Korosu's doing? She probably didn't tell him. I wish she'd start telling the truth about these things more often. "We're assigned a parter, or just go alone. Slender gives us a task, and we have to complete it." Zach said, his accent slightly changing the way he spoke. "Oh, is that what Korosu's doing?" I nodded slowly, hoping slender wasn't around. "What is she doing?" "Uh, can't tell you that. Slender will kill us. By the way, you didn't hear any of this from us." He nodded slowly, watching us. "Well, we've gotta go. Bye." I left with Zach, shaking my head. Now I know why she didn't tell him she was leaving. Mainly because she might not come back.
~Ashton~
Once I got home, their words rung in my ears. What could she be doing? Something's going on. However, I'm not sure what. Shrugging it off, I went back to my room and began reading again. Cal was busy singing down the hall while I got closer and closer to the end. Finally, I finished the book, looking at the final page. There was something behind it, poking through. I turned the page to find a note, folded and taped to the back. Carefully taking off the note, a small piece of wire fell out. I grabbed the wire, reading the note. It was written in cursive, neat and curled.
Ashton,
I hope you enjoyed this book. I'm sorry I couldn't give it to you in person, currently I'm on a mission for slender. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but I hope to see you soon.
          Take care my love,
                                     Korosu
Holding the note to my chest, I smiled up at the ceiling. I love you Korosu. I really do love you. Happiness filled me, but something seemed a bit off: why wouldn't she tell me this before? Silencer didn't say what she was doing, and Korosu said she didn't know when she would be back. Worried, the smile faded from my face. What could Korosu be doing?
                                 ~•~
Cal and I were sitting on the couch, talking slightly. We were both bored, mike and Luke probably in their bedroom. "I don't know what to do, Korosu's been gone a few days..." I understood that she was working, but I still wanted to see her. Cal was smirking slightly, leaning back into the leather. "What, miss cuddling her? Maybe you should go join mike and Luke." I stood up, not thinking about the sarcastic answer I was going to say. "Maybe I will." "Go on then, do it." I walked out of the room, heading upstairs. I just realized what I had gotten myself into, walking towards their room. Cal followed me, the smirk never leaving his face. I knocked on the door, listening to the footsteps on the other side of the door. Luke answered, looking at me. "Yes?" "Um...can I cuddle with you guys?" Cal was busy trying not to laugh, while Luke was just confused. "Uh...sure?" I walked in with him, getting between mike and Luke. Cal stood in the doorway, staring at us. Mike had his arms around Luke and I, causing Cal to burst out laughing. He was probably taking pictures at this point, but I didn't care at the moment. About ten minutes later, I left the room, leaving mike and Luke alone. I felt a bit better actually, however I continued to think of Korosu.
