I sat up, despite the pain, frantically speaking.
"Is she okay? Shouldn't she be breathing? What's going on?!"
Ash held onto my hand, scared as well.
"No shit Korosu, let me work." Surge snapped, trying to get her to breathe. I was freaking out, leaning back against ash's arm. "Oh god, this is all my fault." I whispered, silently sobbing. He rubbed my shoulder, unable to speak.
I couldn't believe it.
I killed my daughter.
I killed
Our fucking daughter.
Now, I knew I had to go down with her.
Right as I was about to grab his scalpel, I heard something.
Feint crying.
I sighed softly, leaning back. "Thank fucking god."
Ash was beside me, crying.
If I remember correctly, so was I.
Our little girl was alive.
Yet I won't forget this.
It'll always be on my list of fuck ups.

The next morning, I woke up earlier than Yasmin, considering she almost bled out yesterday.
I glanced down at the certificate surge gave us.
Marilyn Brooklyn Irwin
Born April 17th, At 3:15 a.m.
I smiled, remembering the previous night.
Marilyn laid in my arms while my wife slept. Surge was busy putting up tools, taking off his gloves. "She's pretty cute man." I nodded slowly, glancing down at the baby girl. Her eyes were closed, but her glitching skin was adorned with a stitch going across her left cheek. He chuckled a bit, glancing down. "I'm sorry about everything ash. You guys are great with each other. Stay here until you feel she's ready to head home, call if you need anything." He left the room, leaving me with the beautiful little girl who resembled my complexion. Eric looked a bit more like Yasmin than myself, yet had my personality. 'She's going to be so happy to see her' I thought, sighing softly.
Once we finally went home, she stayed awake for a while but eventually fell asleep. I, however, stayed by her side, awake the whole night.

Eric was in his room, awake as ever. He giggled once he saw me, eyes full of excitement. "Daddy!" "Morning bud. Guess what?" He slid off the bed, tilting his head a bit.
I took him into our room, making sure he stayed quiet. I slowly picked Marilyn up, squaring her upright so Eric could see her. "See? You didn't have to wait a month." He giggled, smiling. "Yay!" I smiled a bit, setting her back down. "Why don't you go back and see your uncles okay?" He nodded a bit, walking off. I walked back into our room to find Yasmin sitting up on the bed, staring out the window. I sat down beside her, laying a hand on her shoulder. She jerked around faster than I could speak. "Don't hit m-oh...I'm sorry ash..." I raised an eyebrow, kissing her cheek. "Is everything okay baby?" She shrugged, glancing down. "Sorry baby. I love you okay?"
She spoke to me like it was the last time we would be together.
I'm surprised it wasn't.

I knew what day it was.
The one day in April.
The one I needed to leave on like I have the past few years.
I always blamed it on 'work' so Eric and ash didn't worry. Yet this time, I forgot. I had no way of leaving.
They were stuck with me.
I hoped to god they survived.

Later, I tried leaving, I really did. But I couldn't.
Everything came back. All at once. Just like the wreck.
My anger rose up.
The names Ashton and Eric and Yasmin meant nothing to me. I barely knew what they meant.
Yet one thing was burning in my mind:
Kill anyone you see. And slowly.
~Ashton~
Before I even knew where Yasmin was, the lights flickered off. Goddamnit. I assumed it was just a power out, but Eric and Marilyn were still kinda scared. I got them both into Luke's room, along with Mike and cal.
"Hey ash, what's going on?"
"Luke, if I knew we wouldn't have this problem now would we? I'll be back. I'm getting a flashlight. Do not open the door for anyone except me."
I left the room, slowly making my way downstairs. Once I grabbed the flashlight, I headed back upstairs.
Only to find the door locked.
"Guys, open the door. This isn't funny."
"It is open!" I rolled my eyes, ignoring Mike. "Just come open it please."
I heard the doorknob move around, but the door itself didn't move an inch.
"I can't..."
The familiar scent of vodka surrounded me.
A cold hand grasped my wrist.
"Awe. Look at that. You're locked out. Guess you're...stuck with me."
Her sweet, seductive voice filled my ears, causing a smirk to form on my face. I turned around to face her. "Oh well."
I thought she was just joking around.
But her eyes told a different story.
They were deep red.
Not like usual.
I've only seen her like this a couple times.
It was April.
I only remembered this happening once before. I hoped it would've stopped.
Guess not.
I felt something cold press up against my stomach, knowing immediately it was a dagger. Yet this time, she didn't hold back.
The metal dug into my stomach, twisting and turning.
I shoved her off quickly, coughing. "Goddamnit! Yasmin, it's me! Ashton! Come on, don't you remember me?"
I could feel blood running down my stomach, dripping onto the floor.
She slammed me into the wall with strength I believed she lost the previous night.
"I've never heard that name before in my life."
She shoved the dagger in again, keeping me to the wall with her hand around my neck. I tried pulling away, but I could only get her off me.
She glanced at the door, smirking. "Who's in there? Huh?" She pinned me back to the wall.
I shook my head, looking at her. "Nobody."
"Then you won't mind if I...go in there would you?"
"Don't." I said sternly, gritting my teeth.
"Tell me who's in there."
"No."
She scowled. "Fucking tell me, or you're dead meat."
I shook my head, speaking frantically. "Do not go in there Yasmin."
She raised her hand back, about to strike the wound again.
I ducked out of her way before she could get me, her dagger hitting the wall. I grunted softly, leaning against the wall. "Please baby...please...its me...a-Ashton...we're married, we have two kids, please say you r-remember them a-at least. Plea-se."
She bent down to look me in the eye.
"Sorry sir, you've played wrong. Very wrong...I think it's time you realized that your life isn't the only one on planet earth that matters. Other people happen to be more important, but actually, none of you matter. Nobody on this fucking planet matters at all. Trust me, I'm doing you a favor. Ya know, when you play a video game, you eventually run out of lives. You've wasted your last one."
Blood pooled around me, my vision blurring together.
Nothing was clear anymore.
Metal clattered against the floor.
Everything was spinning....spinning.....
~Korosu~
Those eyes.
Those pitiful eyes, full of pain and sadness.
I've seen those eyes before.
Not just in myself.
But in him.
The man from my memory who I can't remember a thing about, other than the eyes.
"Ashton...oh god...Ashton!" I chunked my dagger across the room, taking his head in my hands. "Stay with me ash, please. Don't die on me baby, I-it's gonna be okay." He smiled a bit, closing his eyes.
"Michael! Get the hell out here!"
I heard wood split, Mikey running over. "What the fuck happened?!" "I'm an idiot is what. Now get your goddamn keys and get him to the hospital. I can't drive and keep him alive."
He nodded, helping me get him up.

As he drove, I sat in the back with ash laying across the seats, head in my lap. I cupped his face, tears streaming down my cheeks. "Baby...please...don't leave. Please." I kissed his head, keeping him close.
"We're here!"
I got him out, Mike helping me.
The doctors came and took him to a room.
"Only family can come. Who might you be?"
I scowled at the man. "I'm his fucking wife. Let me in."

As I waited for him to wake up, I could only think of how terrified Eric and Marilyn probably were.
And it's all my fault.
