Chapter 9

I slowly got pulled underwater as I held my breath. It quickened and my eyes burned from the salty water. 'What...what if this kills me?' I thought to myself.

The gemstone glowed more and I gasped as an aura surrounded me which filled my throat with water.

Shit.

The aura went into my throat and I felt my legs form as one. Something grew on my neck which hurt.

I could breath...it was strange. My dress was still there but I looked at my feet which where formed as a tail. Shocking as it was, my fingers where webbed.

I remember this. The tail, the gills, the webbed hands it all reminds me of a siren, or mermaid in other words. I swam around every so often glancing at my f/c tail.

This was all so crazy but I was terrified to scream. Fish swam around me and I put the necklace on. Once I started to swim up, they swam off.

I then saw Sky looking at the water. I was puzzled until he scared my by skipping stones. I jumped slightly underwater as he sighed and got up moving away. He didn't seem to notice I was watching him.

Maybe I should go back to the shack.

I got out of the water and it glowed again making me human. I coughed and spit up water as I panted.

Shoot...my dress is soaked and I think I'm sick. I started to walk back to the shack as the wind picked up. That going with me being wet I was cold as hell.

I walked inside as dipper looked up about to say something like 'hey!' But his jaw just dropped. "Y/N! What happened?!" He said rushing to me worried.

"This necklace...it dragged me underwater and I turned into.....into....a siren..." I said saying the last word quiet hoping he wouldn't repeat it louder.

"What?! We'll talk about that later but now you need to shower and get some dry clothes on." He said escorting me upstairs. He set down a towel on the counter for me as he shut the door.

I striped the clothing off of myself and stepped in the shower. The hot water against my skin washed away the cold water as I felt relief. It almost felt safe to me, it felt better.

After a long shower, I stepped out and dried myself off. I brushed and dried my hair then wrapped the towel around myself. I quickly went to my room after brushing my teeth and I closed the door.

I got on some f/c sweatpants and a
s/f/c shirt. I put on some fluffy socks and got in my bed. I slowly drifted to sleep as the warm blankets alike to the warm water comforted me. I smiled in my sleep and went into my thoughts and dreams.

The next morning, 8:47 AM

I yawned and shut off my clock and got up. It was Sunday, and a slow one as it was. I walked out of my room slipping on my slippers as well.

I went to the kitchen and yawned again as I sat down. "Y/n, how you feeling?" Dipper asked. "Fine." I smiled as I got some pancakes.

I started to eat and drink my milk as dipper stared at me as we ate. He seemed worried and even nervous about me. I wondered then about Sky.

Why did he seem so upset?

  I pulled out a letter Dipper said Sky gave me. I went over it again.

hey Y/N,

Maybe you're wondering why I've been upset.

Oh it's just...you and dipper...you guys...kissed.

Y/N, I ———

It's fine, it's not you're fault I feel this way. But I have to go, bye.

  The Y/N I, was scratched out. I don't know why, but it doesn't matter.

  I put away my letter and sighed outing away the dishes. I walked back to my room and stared at my necklace. I sighed as I wrote in my notebook about what all had happened. It was cold, so I put on a dark f/c hoodie.

  I feel bad for Sky....

    But what can I do?

  Hey sorry about the late updates, I have just been busy and this was the last thing from my mind. I hope to be updating more now, but I'm not sure. Again I'm sorry.
