The dark is better than the light

Chapter 34

"What's wrong?" Lucius asked Severus who looked calm, but his eyes were not so calm.

"Isadore is still in the castle." Severus whispered and Lucius looked around as the death eaters were already in position to start the attack. They were just waiting for Isadore, once he starts with Isadore then everyone else will be targeting their own children for today's kidnapping. Most of the children who are going to be kidnapped today are the children of the death eaters who are now spread across the village.

"Why?" Lucius asked him.

"I think she is not going to come." Severus hissed. "Don't ask too many questions, Lucius. Just tell me what to do to get her out. I can't be seen here by anyone. We don't have time."

"Merlin. This was all for her and she is not here." He sighed. "We can't even send a letter as it's already too late. Sirius is not here to suggest something either. He is out with Lestrange to kidnap Lily."

"Lucius." Severus looked at him in warning.

"No choice, just go with the plan but without Isadore. Let's plan something else again for-" "No, he won't like it. He will kill us if we don't get her out of this castle today. He is already very restless." Severus shook his head. "I can't even go to her dorm like I did that night for Potter. One, she is a girl. Two, the dark lord will kill me. Three, everyone's awake and anyone can see me."

"What do you want to do then?" Lucius asked frustrated.

"If I knew what to do, I wouldn't have been here to ask you." Severus glared at him.

"She is here." Lucius suddenly said looking at the entrance gates of Hogwarts.

"What?" Severus looked at where he was looking and sighed out in relief. "Thank Merlin. I don't know what happened or how it happened, but I'm just glad that she is here now."

"Izzy, you came!" Fred went to her looking excited.

"Yes, actually my papa wrote to me saying he might come to meet me if possible after he is done with his work. So here I am." Isadore said in a whisper as she passed Lucius and Severus who were in the shadows hiding.

"We should thank Sirius, not Merlin. He made sure she is here." Lucius said to Severus who nodded.

"Alright, I'll go back then. Be careful." Severus said and Lucius nodded.

Lucius came out of the shadows wearing his mask and signalled to the nearest death eater that they are going to start now. The screams started somewhere to his left and Isadore turned to look at them, but Lucius didn't give her any chance. He stunned her and snatched her away from the Weasley twins within a couple of seconds that before anyone could react they had already apparated to Slytherin manor.

"Lucius." The dark lord took Isadore from his arms and went out of the room without a single word. Soon pops sounded in the room and the remaining death eaters were back with their children. No one really knew the plan, all of them were confused and afraid until they saw their parents once the masks were removed. They were told about the plan and no one protested for being kidnapped. They didn't want to stay at Hogwarts with Dumbledore in the first place.

"Where were you?" Harry asked when all of them sat for dinner. "It was just me and Barty all day today. Were you guys busy?"

"Yes, Harry. A little." Sirius didn't go into detail and Harry just nodded. "Dora is back at the Slytherin Manor, she will be visiting tomorrow morning."

"Oh, that's great." Harry said looking excited. "How is she?" 

"She is fine, just angry that we brought her back without letting her know." Rodolphus chuckled. "She didn't know about the dark lord's plan to kidnap a few of the kids to threaten Dumbledore."
