The dark is better than the light

Chapter 35

"He wants to go back to Hogwarts?" Marvolo frowned. "Why? Did he tell you why?"

"No, he is saying he wants to go for Draco, but we don't believe him. Also, there are people who hurt him." Isadore said to him. "If he goes now, Dumbledore will suspect something and if he uses Legilimency, then Harry can't even protect himself." 

"He said this as soon as he returned talking to me?" Marvolo asked her and she nodded. 

"I'm not saying you said something to him, just wanted to know what exactly you discussed so that we can know what might have made him take such decision." Isadore explained and Marvolo nodded. 

"Not much. He said he wants to tell me something. He just said he won't betray you ever. He loves you and is ready to do anything to prove that. I said it is not needed and if you trust him then I trust him too. He stayed silent for a while after that and asked me about why I attacked him. That is all." Marvolo told her without any hesitation and she frowned. 

"He didn't tell us about the first part, but said that you just talked about the prophecy and how you no longer believe it and won't hurt him. There's nothing that will want him to go back to Hogwarts." She said and Marvolo hummed. "Do you think he is really going for Draco?"

"No, he is lying. Don't agree to his request even if he is going to be mad about it. It's not safe at all." Marvolo said and she nodded. "Let's wait until he finally gives in and lets you know the real reason."

"Right, we are just planning to do that." Isadore said and he hummed again. 

"The part about Draco, it might not be a lie." Marvolo said and Isadore looked confused. "He might actually like Draco, just it is not the real reason he is going back to Hogwarts." 

"Hmm, I didn't say anything before because I was being tough with Harry. But, Draco also is one of the reason that Harry almost died that night and Severus didn't even care much until they saw the letter. He thought Harry was acting again." Isadore said and Marvolo laughed. 

"Darling, you have to realize that Draco is more important to them as Harry is important to us." Marvolo said so naturally, including himself in that us. Isadore froze for a moment at that sentence before smiling at him so big. "If you were in their place, I think you will do the same as well." 

"Still, I don't have to like it. I'm petty." Isadore huffed and Marvolo nodded. 

"You can be as petty as you want. You are the dark lady." Marvolo said and she chuckled. "Let's not think too much about all these things. Harry will come around and tell you the truth. I suspect it is because he still feels he needs to do something to prove himself that he is loyal to us now. You saw how he said he is ready to do anything to prove he is not going to betray you when he was with me." 

"Right, that must be why. Stupid Harry, he doesn't need to do anything to prove that he is one of us now." Isadore shook her head. "He is my brother. That is enough for us to trust him."

"Make him realize that with your actions and not just words then." Marvolo suggested and Isadore hummed. 

"That's a good idea. I'll talk to Papa and Dad about it when I go back." Isadore hugged him. "Thank you, Marvolo."

"Anytime, darling." He kissed the top of her head.

"What is going on?" Dumbledore fumed as he sat in the order meeting with everyone not saying a single word due to his anger. No one ever saw him this angry at all. They were shocked and also afraid to utter anything at all. 

Remus looked at him feeling very happy from inside but he stayed quiet just like others. Severus was no longer invited to these meetings after he was rude to McGonagall when she asked him to save Harry and Lily. Not that Severus wants to be a part anymore at all. Remus looked at the other people who are secretly dark but still sitting here and was glad that the people he likes in this group are actually on their side and don't support Dumbledore.
