Harry's P.O.V.

Gemma rides back to the apartment with me. I'll find Stephanie on my own if I have too, and it looks like I will.

"This is my first time in your apartment...are you not going to show me around?" Gemma asks as we walk in.  I WAS en route to my phone and laptop to make some calls.

I point around as I list off the minimal rooms. "Niall and Ally's room, living room, kitchen and dining room, guest bathroom, mine and....my bedroom." I stop short of adding Steph's name in there with mine.

"Are you really going to try and find Stephanie even though you know she doesn't want to be found?" Gemma asks, dropping her purse thing on the couch and flopping down next to it.

"Yes, and don't try and stop me." I snap.

"Believe me I won't." Gemma sighs and shakes her head. She pulls a sketch book and some colored pencils  and kicks her shoes off, making herself right at home.

"I'm going to go make some calls." I announce before retreating to my room and closing the door behind me. I open my laptop and go to my publishing houses website. Then I get directions, giving me the location of Steph's publishing house which is approximately a block from mine. I get a phone number for the website and call.

"Hello, this is Sutton." A perky female voices answers. "How may I help you?"

"I need to be conncected with someone who can tell me about an internship." I demand.

"Okay, please hold." She says and then some cheesy elevator music starts playing.

After a good five minutes, the line clicks back on. "Head of job applications, how may I help you?"

"Does a girl named Stephanie work there? She just got an internship..." I prod.

"I'm sorry sir, we can't divulge any of our employees information." She says politely, yet it's the most snobby ass sentence I've ever heard.

"Okay well can you tell me about the internship. I was offered one and I want to hear the benefits and shit." I snap.

"Well let's see..." She says. "I'm going to need a lst name so I can tell you about your specific position."

"Styles." I huff. They've been pestering me about an internship forever, but with my other publishing house I have an actaul job so I've been fending away their offers for quiet some time now.

"Okay...." I hear her ruffling some papers. "Oh, here it is! Alright...." She begins to list off some healthcare benefits that I could give a shit less about. "There's also an apartment complex about a block from the office specifically for employees." YES, that's what I needed!

"Can I have some directions to this complex? I'm in New York for personal reasons and I wouldn't mind coming to check out the building." I ask.

"Yes..." She reads off the directions and then asks, "Do you have an answer for us on the internship?"

"No." I snap and hang up the phone. I scribble down the directions quickly so I don't forget them, then map the directions on Google from the airport to the apartment complex. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I get there but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I print off the directions and then grab my black duffel and start throwing in some clothing articles randomly, hoping I get some of each. I zip up the duffel, and then search around in the drawers of the nightstand for my phone. I come across a copy of "After" and upon flipping through it I see highlighted pieces and notes so I know it must be Steph's. I throw it and my phone into the duffel along with the directions and bust out into the living room.

"I'm guessing you found her?" Gemma says.

"Yeah. You can stay here or whatever but I'm leaving." I say and head to the door.

"Oh, I'm not staying here. I'm coming with you." Gemma says, standing up and putting her stuff back in her bag.

"I don't think so." I say and open the door.

"No way am I missing New York." Gemma says, slipping on her shoes and following me out the door.

Great. I wasn't exactly planning on having an enterauge when I saw Steph.
