The Bad Boy

Chapter 21

Stephanie's P.O.V.

I am totally silent on the ride to the hospital, sitting up front with Harry. Ally and Nial sit in the back. We pull in, walk up to the front desk, and then we are directed to Harry's mom's room. Harry leads the way, and Ally and Niall stop outside the door.

"You guys go on in," Ally says.

"We'll come in in a bit, let Anne get to know you first," Niall says, nodding.

Harry points his fingers to his eyes and then to Niall's. "The hospital has cameras."

Harry holds the door open for me and I step into the room. A lady with pale skin, and sallow cheeks lays on the bed. Despite her frail appearance, her tan skin and long black hair make her extraordinarily pretty. She is reading a People Magazine and looks up when the door closes behind us.

"Harry!" She says, looking up and setting the magazine on her bedside table.

"Hi mum." he says and places a hand on my back, then leads me over to her bed. "This is Stephanie."

"Oh my!" She slaps he hands to her cheeks. "Is this the famous Stephanie you're talking about twenty four seven?!"

Harry groans. "Mum!"

"Oh sorry. I've heard so many wonderful things about you. It's so nice to meet you Stephanie!" She says and holds out her hand.

"Hi Ms. Styles." I say with a smile and hold out my hand.

She shakes it and her hands are cold. "Call me Anne." She smiles back.

I nod. She lifts her hand up to her mouth to pretend to shield me from what she's going to say. "You were right Harry, she is really pretty."

I blush and Harry smacks his forehead with his hand and says "You're killing me. NIALL YOU CAN COME IN NOW!!!!"

Niall and Ally step in. Anne looks even more shocked to see Niall than she did to see me.

"NIALL!" She shrieks.

He lights up when he sees her, and then rushes forward to hug her.

"It's so good to see you!" She says when they pull apart.

"Oh, Anne, this is my girfriend Ally. She's Stephanie's best friend." He says and Ally steps forward to shake Anne's hand.

"This has got to be one of the weirdest days of my life. I get to see my son, his girlfriend and my son's best friend's girlfriend in one day." Anne says, and shakes her head. "I can't believe it!"

"Anne." Niall groans at the same time Harry groans "Mom!"

"Don't listen to them Anne!" I say.

"See Harold. What do they say now? Calm your tits?" She says in her British accent.

This sends us all into bouts of laughter.

"That is what they say Anne and I think you should use that all the time." I assure her.

She smiles and Harry just looks at his shoes. This is going to be an interesting day.

We spend the day talking with Anne in her room until the docor kicks us out at four thirty. We walk past the NICU on the way out.

"Aww Harry look at the cute babies." I coo, staring into the glass where all the little babies lay in their beds, wrapped in blue or pink blankets.
