A few weeks went by, and the girls were closer than ever. Camila was the perfect balance to Lauren, both completing each other in a way only soulmates can. Demi and Ally, were still finding their groove, even though they haven't been together in the same way Lauren and Camila had, they were devoted to each other just the same. Sofie and Maggie, both young, decided to taking their relationship slow. They wanted to build a companionship that could last through anything, and they were finally happy with their lives and the router they were on. Normani and Dinah, while still not as physical as either would like, they cherished the time they spent alone, growing together and learning the meaning of love their own way. Maddie, although sometimes felt like the odd man out when the couples broke off, was happy for them. The five treated her as family, and she felt as if they were all her aunts. Sofie and Maggie treated her as siblings would and made her smile at the family vibe they gave her. Demi and Ally were like her parents more than anything, and she reveled in having her sister time with Demi. She finally had a home and was content with the way things were going.

The girls were in another bout of rigorous training when Lauren's burner phone beeped on her emergency line.

"Whats up?" Lauren asked urgently.

"We need you in the communications room now!" Marissa shouted.

"Be there in a minute." Lauren rushed out. Turning to the girls she said,"We gotta go to the Com room now!"

The girls rushed to the elevator and withing a few minutes were running through the Com rooms door to stare at the screens in front of them in shock. On the screen was New york city literally under attack.

"What the hell is going on?" yelled Lauren pissed.

"The General must have gotten tired of waiting for your answer, because a small part of his army is destroying the city." Marissa shouted typing fast as she more screens came on, giving them a better view.

"Get me Selena and Jade now!" Lauren yelled panicked.

Within a minute, the two came on screen as they looked to be running through their camera phone.

"Lo what's going on!" yelled Selena.

"New York is under attack! get the president and her people in the bunker now and keep them safe! Tell Bea we'll handle it but she needs to contact the other leaders and tell them to get to safety now! Lauren ordered.

"Okay! let us know when we're safe! Gotta go!" Selena rushed out as she disappeared on screen.

"Marissa get the jets ready, have the satellites scramble so know one knows our location. Simon alert the Guardians and tell them all to suit up and meet the girls in the transportation room now!" Lauren ordered and then turned to the girls.

"Demi, get the girls ready. I want them in constant communication with you and me. Give them everything you can. Maddie your staying here, work with Marissa and direct us to the locations we're needed most. Girls follow Demi's orders do you hear me? If she says retreat then you do so. Do not play hero and try to save everyone, there will be casualties, but try to save as many civilians as you can." Lauren ordered.

"Where are you going Lo?" Camila asked worried.

"I'm going to hold them off until you get there. Don't worry love, everything will be okay,I promise." Lauren answered as she kissed her softly.

When she pulled away she looked at her group of girls and said, "You all have trained hard, your ready. I would have liked more time, but it looks like we've run out. Stick together and work as a team and we'll all be okay. Couple do not work together okay? Normani your with Ally give them a hurricane if you have to. Maggie your with Camila, keep each other safe and if you have to give them a fire storm and earthquake. Dina and Sofie, I want you girls to help the guardians get the civilians to safety and back them up. Heal only the worst wounds and save your energy. Dems keep a birds eye view and help who ever needs it. Good luck girls and I'll see a in New York.." She ordered and then walked out of the room.
