Authors note:
Hey guys, I'm sooooo so sorry that it's been ages since I've updated, don't worry I'm not stopping. I will carry on until I finish this book. I have so many great ideas to share with you guys, sorry it's taking so long. I'm amazed by how much support my story is getting, thanks for taking the time to sit down and read my book. I am constantly thinking of ways to improve my writing, I know that my first few parts could be improved, but I'm trying to make up for it in the rest of the book. Remeber to keep voting, and hopefully It won't take as long for the next part to come out. Love you guys xx"Darcy wake up wake up wake up! We're going to alton towers today. Wake up! Wake up!"
I get ferociously woken up by my over excited nine year old brother. He jumps up and down on my bed, making me feel sea sick. But not sick enough that i would want to throw up. Which is a good sign, that I might be alright today.Ben explained to me that the tickets were for me and him, and he had already planned this with my mum.
We're going to alton towers for a day, and as it's now October half term, Luke gets to come with us. Which he's extremely happy about.
Ben stayed overnight so we could leave earlier in the morning. But he wasn't allowed to sleep in my room (obviously)."Let's go Darcy, we've got to get there quickly."
"Yes mum, just coming."
I steadily walk down the stairs, I might not be the fittest person to go to a theme park, but I don't know if I'll ever get to go to one again. So I'm kind of treating this like a last time thing. But I'm not telling ben or my mum about it, I don't want to upset them.I grab my hat and make my way downstairs. This is a pretty busy place, so I'm kind of expecting people to stare at me.
But there's no way I can wear a wig on powerful rides like these.I make my way slowly down the stairs. "There's the princess of the hour" ben says whilst holding his arms out to hug me. I leap down, skipping the last few steps, so I can jump into Ben's arms. Sweetly, he kisses me on the lips, then plops me back down onto the wooden floor.
"So you ready to go?" He asks.
"Yes, let's go. I'm so excited, thanks for this. This means a lot to me."
"Your welcome, I just couldn't bare to see you lazing around in your pyjamas all day, depressed. And plus I had to do something to make up for the way I behaved."
"Well Thankyou. Now let's go!"
I get into the car with my brother still jumping up and down, practically making the car shake.
"Luke you can sit in the front." I tell him. "Me and ben will sit back here."
"Oh Thankyou Thankyou!" He kisses me on the forehead and then climbs through to the front seat.
"Everyone strapped in?" My mum asks.
"Yes mum, now come on." Luke says in a hurry.
And we're off.--
It's about halfway through the journey and I have just woken up with my head in Ben's lap. He doesn't know I'm awake yet, so I carry on allowing him to stroke my head. Sounds weird. But it's nice. I look up at bens face, and Into his astonishing eyes. He's staring out the front window, looking like he's deep in thought. "Hey ben, you alright?" I ask. He quickly snaps back into focus and looks down at me.
"Yeah I'm fine, I didn't know you were awake."
"Yeah, but not for long. Are we Nearly there yet."
Ben's about to answer but then my mum interrupts. "Almost, just another 20 minutes."
"20 MINUTES" shouts luke. He sits back into his seat and folds his arms with impatience.
I look back up at ben and we laugh. Then we go over a bump and my stomach almost flips upsidown. "Woah" I mumble.
"Everything alright?" Ben sweetly asks.
"Yes, stomach just did a flip." He can see by my facial expression that I don't feel great.
"It's alright Darcy, I've got you" he wraps his arm around me tighter and pulls me in closer to his beating heart. I rest my ear against his chest and listen to the soothing Rythm.
The gentle Rythm is enough for me to drift off again.--
"Hey Darcy, Darcy were here!" Ben whispers in my ear, but loud enough to wake me up.
"What?" I mumble.
"We've arrived" I gently sit up in time for my eyes to meet the large Alton towers sign. The car park is practically empty. I knew it was going to be quiet, but not this quiet. A few months ago there was a problem with one of the rides. Only recently has the park opened up again, and I guess people are just a little fearful of coming. But I know this is the safest time of the year to come. Everyone is being extra precautious, but I'm not worried.
