Nothing but luxury! That's what this is!
Were here... On holiday. In the Maldives.
We've just finished unpacking and are preparing to go for a swim in the ocean.
You literally take a few steps outside of our lodge, and you're in the crystal blue ocean. It is complete luxury.
I get changed into my light blue bikini, and Ben gets changed into his shorts. I stand on the balcony just overlooking the natural beauty, then I suddenly feel Ben's cold hands wrap around my waist.
The air is so warm out here, that the slightest of touch seems so sensitive. "You ready?" He whispers into my ear and then kisses my cheek.
"Of course, I can't wait"
We slowly make our way down the steps, he keeps hold of me the whole time.I gently dip one toe into the ocean, then let the waves push the water up my leg. Instead of going in slowly, I simply dive straight into the water. As it hits me, every part of my body feels hydrated and refreshed. Not soon after, Ben too dives in. Then comes up close to me and we share another kiss.
"This is beautiful, just wonderful" I say whilst admiring the scenery around me.He keeps hold of me close, as we sway about with the calm waves. I bury my head into his shoulder and the soothing motion almost makes me fall asleep.
I finish off my delightful swim, by going a bit further out to sea, where the waves get a little calmer. I simply lie on my back and absorb the suns heat. Hoping to add some colour to my pale, English skin.

After a good hour in the ocean, I'm feeling more relaxed than I ever have done in my entire 17 years of life in England. I just haven't had the time or money to treat myself to something quite this incredible.
We're now off to explore a bit more of the island. To see what things we can do whilst on holiday.
I put on a cool, summery dress. Whilst Ben wears a white t-shirt and baggy shorts. We're trying to soak in as much sun as possible.
As we walk around, everyone smiles at you. They're all so polite, so kind... Nothing compared to England.
In England people in the street mainly try and avoid eye contact with you. Most people are rushing around, wearing their gloves and thick coats to block out the bitter air. But here... Everyone is just so much more calm amd relaxed. The locals take their time with things, they're free! They act like a walk on a sandy beach is nothing. Like it's an everyday activity. Then come two pale, stereotypical tourists to the beach, acting like this is a luxury we never thought we could afford. It's such a better lifestyle out here. So different. And so relaxed. We go to a local restaurant for our lunch. Once again, The waiting service is just incredible. People come with a smile and crack the odd joke, and always welcome us to the island.
It certainly make me feel a lot more comfortable about the whole situation.Me and Ben stare down the menus of exquisite looking dishes. It's too hard to pick just one thing. Eventually, we choose, and only have to wait a short while for our meals.
I have a lovely cocktail, it's so refreshing and goes along well with the ocean view and the clear, blue sky.
The food is just another thing to add to the whole experience. It's nothing like I could have imagined. The presentation, the taste, I couldn't fault it.I can already tell, this is going to be the best few weeks of my life.

Our first night here was pure heaven. We shared a double bed, and stayed cosy within each others arms all night.
But as soon as the sun comes up, we are both wide awake and are looking forward to another amazing day.
Today, we're going to do the less relaxing things, and take some more risks. We're going down to the beach, where many water sport activities are on offer.
There's wind surfing, speed boats, and all sorts. We decide to go on something I've never even seen before.
You basically sit In an inflatable chair together, which is attached to a speed boat by rope. Then the speed boat pulls you around the ocean. It looks amazing! We both put our life jackets on, then sit in this chair together and grab on to the handles very tight. You're not strapped in at all, it really just depends on how tight you can hold onto the chair. You can easily fall off. But that just makes it seem even more exhilarating.
"You ready for this?" Ben turns to me with a massive smile on his face.
"Absolutely!" We look ahead of us to where the speed boat begins to move. Then suddenly, it speeds forward at a rapid pace, and soon we're piercing through the waves whilst having to hold on tight to the handles. I scream with exhilaration, and can't wipe the smile off of my face. The speed causes mine and Bens legs to move up and down uncontrollably and we constantly knock into each other. I let the wind brush pass my cheeks, making me feel refreshed and exhilarated at the same time. We get pulled quite far out to sea, where the people on the beach almost look like ants. I pivot my head and admire all the natural beauty surrounding the coast of the Maldives. I've never seen something so picturesque.
Unfortunately, it comes to and end. But the massive high doesn't end for quite a while. To calm ourselves down, we decide to just lie in the sand, and absorb some more heat.

Another amazing day it was!
We had another meal at a different restaurant, but the service was equally as good, and the food was delectable. Now I'm happy to just lie down, and rest.

It's nearly over, we go home tomorrow. But it has been amazing, and we've done things I never thought I could do. It's been a once in a lifetime trip. And I can't thank Ben enough for doing this for us. So today we're trying to do as much as possible.
We first take another dip in the ocean outside our luxurious lodge. The oceans waters are as calm and soothing as always.
Whilst still in our swim stuff, we then head down to the beach to make the most of the beaming sun before we head back to England, and it's depressing weather.
I lie on the hot sand, with my eyes closed, just listening to the waves approach my feet every few seconds. We have lunch at our favourite restaurant, and thank all the staff there for making this a perfect holiday.
They're very great full, and say they're going to miss us very much.We take our last stroll up and down the markets, and complete our souvenir shopping. I've bought things for myself, and all my family.
This has honestly been the most perfect escape. I needed to properly get away. Even though the cancer is gone, it's still going to always be with me in ways. I'll never forget what things I had to go through. The pain, the torture, the fact I hurt my family over and over again. But being here, almost made me forget about all those other things, and made me realise that life can be beautiful, no matter what past is living with you today.
