Before Calum started his fourth worldwide stadium tour, I decided to visit him and his family in Australia. I had met Joy and David before, and seen them multiple times after, and started becoming close to Mali.

She was also a musician and singer; a very good one at that. She kind of reminded me of myself- That underdog feeling of having a small following.

But it wasn't about that, it was about the aftermath of the whole fun visit.

Pictures had been taken of me, Calum and his family when we were out visit the town for the day. Also, I had asked Calum to be in a YouTube video of mine: A collab. In a nutshell, the media thought wrongly - so wrongly - and decided to post theories and rumors about Calum and I being together, affairs and flings.

I wasn't bothered by it at first, but then it started to get big once I started denying it on Twitter and such.

The media had logical evidence that could be right, but it wasn't. For example, Calum and I sang a love song as our cover, when the other boys and I sang about different ideas. Also, the collab video threw off a 'vibe' that I didn't sense until the paparazzi had something to say about it. Being out-and-about with his parents didn't help, either.

So now Calum and I were stressed, because between our friend group we had always been teased for having some nonexistent relationship together. The teasing stopped not too long ago; Now it's up and firing again because of the stupid media.

Calum was particularly upset about all of this.

"This whole thing is stupid," He growls, leaning against his own kitchen counter. "Fucking stupid."

"Tell me about it," I scoff from the kitchen table. "Everything we're doing is making everything worse."

"We can't deny without being harassed and we can't publicly state without more of the media trying to prove us wrong," Calum drums his fingers against the white tile, now staring at the floor.

"Maybe this isn't our business; Maybe it's our publicists'?" I shrug.

"They made it our business when they started bullshit about us," He eyes me harshly, so all I do is nod- because he's right.

"So what are we going to?" I ask, probably a little more demanding than it should've been.

"We're going to deny, deny and deny," Calum says, "And prove them wrong. Prove everyone wrong."
