Raina's POV.
Raina laid her hand against her bump feeling her child move within her. She smiled down at her rippling belly.
"Is this good, Master?" She looked up at the Padawan standing next to the small crib.
"Yes, thank you."
The black haired girl smiled and bowed her head. "Is there anything else you would like me to do for you, Master Raina?"
"No, no. You've done more than enough, Wren. Thank you." Raina looked around the small nursery. There was very little furniture filling the sage green room except for a chair, a changer and a crib. It was such a rare thing to have a nursery in a Jedi temple, Luke and Raina had to add onto the head master suite just to have one for their baby. Finishing the room felt like a huge exhale. Her baby was safe and would be born in less than two months. After months of extreme grief within the Skywalker and Solo family it would be wonderful to have something to be joyful about.
"Master Luke will be so surprised that it is already finished."
"Yes, he will. Actually, I believe I shall go check in on him."
Raina took the elevator down to the third level and walked to down the hall to the private meditation rooms. She reached out with the force feeling for Luke's presence behind each door. Behind the next door she felt the familiar warm light radiating from it.
She reached out to him. 'Luke.' He was deep state of meditation and did not respond. She pushed further into his mind. 'Luke.'
'Raina?'
She smiled. 'You have been mediating for hours. It's time for break.' She felt his reluctance, but soon the metal door slid open. Luke was sitting with his legs criss-crossed and his eyes met hers.
"Yes, dear?"
She smirked. "You need a break."
"I am so close to finding them I can feel it. The darkness has been clearer recently. It's been further away the past week for a reason that I can't understand. I have to reach out further."
"That may be, but you have been sitting here for hours. You must rest."
He stood and met her in the doorway. "I have to keep trying. I can't let-" His eyes glanced down at her bump.
"I know." Their eyes met and she could see the worry filled in his. "Remember fear is the path to the dark side. We mustn't be afraid. Our child is safe. We will alright."
Luke nodded and quickly tried to put his concern behind him. "Well since I seem to have some time now, I am famished."
"I thought you would be. Let's get you something to eat."
The couple sat in the cafeteria as Raina watched her husband smart down his food. She found herself giggling at the sight.
"Slow down there farm boy. I don't think I've seen you this hungry since we first arrived on Yavin."
He smiled apologetically. "Sorry. I guess I was hungrier than I thought."
"It's alright. By the way I have something to show you later. It's for the baby."
He grinned. "Well, whatever it is I'm sure it's very nice." He took another bite of his meal and began chewing. "Have you heard from Ben or Jacen today? They're supposed to check in."
Raina shook her head. "No. I've been busy working on the project for the baby."
He hummed and wiped his mouth. "I left my handheld in the office. I might go see if they've called. Come on."
