The next few days after you had find out that Jacob and Amber were dating, a lot changed. Jacob would no longer talk to you.
Whenever you would walk pass him going to class, you would do your usual wave and a "hello", but he would act like he didn't hear anything and kept walking. Not even uttering a word back in return.
He wouldn't even look at you for a mere second. His focus and attentions were all on Amber 24/7. It felt like the friend that you known since you were little was gone. Instead, he was replaced with a cold, expressionless person towards you.
Also, Carol had also disappeared. None of you knew why, but maybe Seth and Nathan. You tried calling the girl several times but the only thing that you would ever get were the rings and then ending with her voicemail.
There were rumors that her father didn't like the school anymore and transferred her to another one already, probably across the nation. It was like losing two friends in a day.... Actually that's exactly what it was.
You dazed outside the window. The day had already pass by so quick. It was your last class and you really were just praying that the teacher would just continue on and on about the speech she was giving so that they weren't gonna do anything else that counts as 'productive'.
You twirled your pencil in your slender hand, not even caring if it was going to fall or not. Maybe it has just been a tiring day for you. Mentally and physically. You sigh and massaged the side of your temple when you felt that a headache was coming on.
Finally, the bell rang and you quickly grabbed your bag and stuff everything inside. It was messy, disorganized, and so unlike you. But right now, all you wanted to do was go home and take a long nap.
Your eyes unconsciously glanced over at the window and saw two pair of people walking hand in hand towards the back parking lot of the school. The two name that popped into your head as *It's probably just Jacob and Amber*
When you turned to leave, you didn't even take more than two steps before tripping over the leg of a chair. Luckily, you fell into a pair of soft and warm arms.
You looked up and blushed instantly. “Hey there miss clumsy” Nathan gave you one of his gummy but sweet smile.
The both of you stared at each other, lost in your own thoughts. But you broke the silence and cleared your throat. “You can let me go now” You giggled.
Nathan put his arms back to his side and rubbed the back of his neck with embarrassment. You could see a slight hint of pinkness developing in his cheeks. It was a cute sight indeed.
You were about to say bye to the latter since you really just wanted to get home since everything was starting to get dizzy again. But instead, he quickly close the gap between you two and pressed the palm of his hand onto your forehead.
"Ack! Hot!" He retracted the hand and sarcasticly blew on it, in an attempt to cool it down.
Amused, you smiled and slightly snickered. Nathan returned back to his serious self and asked in a worried tone, "Is everything ok? You seem... Off today"
*How does he always know what i'm feeling* Your heart fluttered at how he could be so caring towards you.
"I'm fine" You lied but put on a smile so he wouldn't be too worried.
The said boy gave you a weird look before brushing it off and returning the smile by pinching your chubby cheeks. Both of you decided to walk home together.
It wasn't until you caught sight of Seth walking the opposite that you stopped the boy. "Seth! Where are you going?"
"I'm on an errands run" He answered.
Your eyes sparkle and looked at him with a yearning expression. You really didn't want to go back home with no one inside. Just to get your mind off of everything, you wanted to just run off to another country.
Seth realized what you had wanted. He inwardly chuckle at your cute face before asking, "Want to come too?" You quickly nodded.
The quiet's boy smile softened but faded away when he noticed that Nathan was behind you. "I guess you’re coming too?" Seth asked, with a hint of anger and jealousy in the back of his words.
You and Nathan followed Seth towards the closest shopping center. You browsed around outside different shops string at all of the cute things there are. Seth entered a small grocery stores.
All over of the stores, banner hang up high in the sky saying “Valentines Day Sale”. You looked at it quizzically but you quickly realized that today was the 13th. You let out a small gasp and panic spreads throughout your body.
*OH NO!* You quickly ran towards the baking section.
