After crying your eyes out. Nathan walked you to his house since you didn't have your keys. The rain was still poring outside as both of you walked home without an umbrella. Nathan wrapped his outer jacket around you to keep you from getting any more drenched then you already are.
"Sit here Luna. I'll get you something warm to drink." He guided you over to the couch. You sat down cautiously, afraid that the water from your clothes would ruin it but Nathan could care less.
*Why does this house seem so similiar? Maybe it was from a dream but it feels so safe here* You sat and look around the place.
Nathan ran over to the kitchen and started heating up some water. He put some honey into the two cups he had on the counter. After the water started boiling, he unplugged the cord and carefully poured the hot water into the cup. Lastly, he put a slice of lemon on top in both of them and brought it over to you.
"Jan. Drink up." Nathan held the cup in front of you and you took it into your hand. "Be careful. It's hot" He warned before sipping his own cup.
You totally ignored his warning and drank it whole. You groaned at the burning sensation in your throat and mouth as the hot water traveled downwards. Dropping the cup right away, you hand quickly move to your throat.
Nathan had noticed and set his cup back down on the table. "DIDN'T I WARN YOU---" He cut off right away. Your face no longer show the sign of hurt but just blank and sad. He soften and smile, "Hey... Everything will be fine." He reassured.
"Will.... It really... Be fine?" Your eyes started tearing up again thinking about Zane and what happened today.
"Hey hey..." Nathan cupped your face and use his thumb to wipe away a tear that trailed down your face. "You have me right? Now stop crying and change your clothes. You'll get sick."
He pulled on your hand and led you to the bathroom. "Wait, i'll get you something to wear." He ran into his room and grabbed a big shirt and boxer that he thought would be decent since he wouldn't dare to go into his mom's room and grab one of her shirt. He quickly ran back out and hand you the clothes.
Nathan waited in the living room fiddling with the the empty cups that were just sitting there while you were changing. A sudden sound came out of nowhere. He turned to see you standing across the room. You had cleared your throat to get his attention.
"Where should i put my dirty clothes?" You raised up the pile of wet clothes that were still dripping with water. Nathan ran over, grabbed it, and threw it into the laundry basket with all of the other dirty clothes he had.
*Gosh she looks... Hot!* He thought after really taking another look at you in his big shirt and boxer that didn't fit you at all. He gulped with his atom apple bobbing up and down. Quickly looking away from you, he tried to fix his attention and gaze onto something else.
"How are you feeling?" Nathan reach to feel your forehead, it was slightly hot. "You're sick---" Before he could say anymore, you lightly swat his hand away, "I'm fine... Just a little dizzy" Suddenly your leg gave out but luckilly Nathan was there to catch you.
"This isn't fine!" He walk you slowly to the couch and made you sit down. "Wait here, i'll make you some porridge"
Today he was in the kitchen a lot more than usual. He got the pot ready and tried his best to make the porridge evren though he never made it before. But by watching his mom, he got the basic idea. A few minutes later he brought back a warm bowl of porridge.
"Say ahh~~" He held out the spoon that he had blown on to make sure that it wasn't hot and was trying to feed you.
"I can do it myself..." You tried to grab the spoon from him but he was too fast and raise it up high. "Not fair!" You puffed out your cheecks and pouted.
*Cute* He thought. "Come on Luna. It will make you feel better. Open up the airplane is coming through~" He made a vrooming noise and swirl the spoon until you finally took it into your mouth. "Thats more like it."
You giggled at his childishness that reminded you of Zane. He continued feeding you until the bowl was empty. He set it in the sink and then went back to the couch and plopped down next to you.
"Hold on Luna, i need to make a call" You nodded. Nathan took out his phone and dial in the number. After the first ring, the other person on the line picked up.
"Honey!"
"Hi mom"
"What are you calling me for?"
"When are you getting home?"
"Right around now. I should be there in a few minutes. Whats going on?"
"I have someone for you to meet. Hurry and come!"
"Alright i'll be there soon. I'm driving so i'll talk to you when i'm home."
"Bye mom"
After that he hung up and smiled at you. "Your mom is coming home?" You asked even though you just heard the conversation. "Yep!" He nodded. And speaking of his mom, the front door opened and a woman in around her 40s walked in. She set her umbrella by the door and walk over to both of you.
She pulled Nathan in for a hug and next it was you. "Hi honey~ was this who you wanted me to meet?" She looked over at you carefully and smiled, "Oh my! Luna! Honey it has been such a long time!" She pulled you in for another death threatening hug.
You were confuse from all of the action and didn't know what to do. Being the polite person you were you had to greet her, "Hello it's nice to meet you"
Nathan gave his mom a nudge and shook his head. "She doesn't remember." He whispered while you were a bit distracted. She nodded in understanding. "Nathan told me a lot about you" She made an excuse as to how she knew you so you wouldn't suspicious. "Thank you for being his friend on his first day of school"
"Oh its not a problem at all." You smiled.
"Mom, can Luna stay here tonight?" Nathan asked and she said yes right away without any hesitation. "I'll be here if you need me." She told both of you as she walked into her own room.
Nathan led you into his room. You settle comfortably onto his bed with him sitting right next to you. "Your mom is so nice" You complimented. "Of course she is! She's my mom!" He joked making you laugh.
"If you're tired sleep." He push your head on his shoulder. "I'll be here so nothings going to happen." *I always will be here for you* Hearing that made your heart flutter with joy. You felt warmer than you ever did in your whole life but you didn't know why. A smile spread onto your lips and you slowly closed your eyes.
"Thank you for being with me..." You whispered before falling into dreamland. Nathan brushed a piece of hair that had fallen onto your face away and kissed your forehead. *I hope one day i will be with you forever* He thought and leaned his head onto yours, falling asleep.
